About Travelodge Liverpool Central

Liverpool's centre is easy to reach and easier to explore once you're settled, and Travelogde Liverpool Central puts guests right in the middle of it, on Old Haymarket close to Lime Street Station and the Cavern Club. Across eight floors, the hotel's 125 rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in-room, and a lift for guests who'd rather skip the stairs. Accessible rooms are available, and reception operates around the clock for late arrivals or early starts.

Breakfast is served on site, and the surrounding streets offer plenty of pubs, restaurants and other eateries within easy walking distance for evening meals. Pets are welcome, which makes this a practical option for guests travelling with dogs. Parking isn't available on site, but chargeable parking can be found nearby at Q-Park Dale Street, around four minutes' walk from the hotel.

Rooms are kept clean and beds are comfortable, though some are on the older side and could do with updating. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the combination of location and price makes this a sensible base for exploring Liverpool's city centre attractions without overspending on accommodation.

Great location , short walk to most places. The rooms are quite dated compared to other travelodges I have stayed in. Shower had some mold. But was very clean ! Only 1 lift working. Some staff were very helpfull and polite. Don't get the breafast option as its just a box , it felt like I was eating a prison meal.

A really nice modern hotel with a bar was perfect for me and a friend to come and watch foo fighters. It's close to town, the docks and the bus station. The staff were brilliant and gave us some great advice on what to do and where to go. 👌

- Had to hunt for staff to come to the front desk on few occasions. - One porter kind of did not listen to my inquiry correctly, on multiple instances. - BED BUGS. Place was rife with them, bitten aggressively, and upon examining the bed, it had smears, stains and red marks. Sign of an infestation. Staff should check the rooms and beds, clean and spray regularly. Its a hotel.

This hotel group will sell you an accessible disabled facility room when they have none available at this location. Other local Travelodge branches have excellent facilities so I was shocked when checking in. Their version of bathroom adaptation is an excess of grab rails in areas where a wheelchair user (with impaired leg mobility) cannot even reach (please see photos) Where there should be a level access shower area with seating, there is, in fact a standard bath which has an excess of grab rails on the opposite wall, where an impaired guest couldn't even reach. In my view the ability to shower every morning is a basic human right. A positive is that the WC has adaquate facilities and there are emergency assistance pull cords above the bath and WC. Also there are thresholds measuring between 20 and 25mm at the bottom of most doors (room entry and all corridor doors) so on entering the room my front castor wheels often catch on this threshold and jolted causing pain in my freshly operated amputation wound while wrestling with the door closer. Even the entrance from the room into the non accessible washroom has a metal threshold measuring 18mm. (see photo 5) It's like extra effort was made by the architect to cause discomfort to a mobility compromised guest. All the staff, however are really helpful when present and cannot do enough for you. They are genuinely apologetic about the situation and try their best to mitigate when present. Liverpool is a modern welcoming and vibrant city that many people visit, but for a mobility compromised guest, a stay in this hotel could ruin their positive experience. And I'm embarrassed to know that facilities such as these are being touted to unsuspecting visitors. I'm in room 220 if management wants to reach out to me for advice on Building Regulations Approved Document M (Vol 2), as I have past professional experience in the provision of such facilities and would like to improve the experience of future disabled guests.
