About Trueman Court Luxury Serviced Apartments
Just thirteen apartments make up Trueman Court Luxury Serviced Apartments, keeping things small and manageable in the heart of Liverpool. That size means a more personal stay than you'd get at a big hotel, with 24 hour reception on hand whenever you arrive or need help.
Each apartment comes with its own kitchen, so you can cook rather than eat out every night, alongside an en-suite bathroom, free WiFi and drinks provided in the room. Family rooms are available for those travelling with children, making this a practical base for longer stays or trips where flexibility matters more than hotel service.
There's no parking on site, though chargeable parking can be found nearby, and airport transfers can be arranged. Pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries are all within easy reach, along with entertainment venues and a nearby golf course, making it straightforward to fill your days and evenings without travelling far from the apartments.
What guests say
I had a wonderful stay at Trueman and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Liverpool. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The location was excellent, making it easy to get around the city and explore the main attractions. What really stood out was the friendly and helpful staff. They were welcoming from the moment I arrived and were always happy to assist whenever I had any questions. Overall, the hotel offered great value for money, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Liverpool. Thank you for such a fantastic stay!

When I realised I had to download an app and wait for a code to be sent I regretted my choice. I would be in the theatre at 3pm when the message would arrive and the offices closed at 4pm. I worried that after the matinee I would be stuck if no notificationl had arrived to tell me which apartment and key code. When I got to Liverpool I rang them to check how the code would arrive. The person I spoke to had little empathy! I did receive the email and FLEXIPASS worked!! The apartment was super clean and very comfortable. My only concerns were........ - the very high step up onto the sleeping platform (probably an age thing! - there were no instructions for the Nespresso machine - I googled it and found that the reason I hadn't been able to work out how to open it was because it was broken - disappointed. The location was brilliant and a lovely coffee shop just around the corner for breakfast......

Stayed a couple of weeks ago, with a group of 21 booked across 6 rooms for an overnight hen do. I can't commend how helpful and communicative the staff were leading up to this- It was a huge ordeal organising that many people and the responsiveness and willingness of the Truman Court team to help with my numerous requests and questions over email leading up to it made things a hell of a lot easier. We had a lovely stay, the rooms are amazing, beds are comfy (and smell really nice!) and should I find myself in Liverpool on another occasion this will be the first place I look and the first place I'd recommend to others!

This is a difficult review to write because the positives were genuinely excellent—but the negatives made for a very frustrating experience. The Pros: The room itself was spectacular. 5 stars! Although located at basement level, it didn’t feel claustrophobic at all. The full kitchen was a huge bonus, something you rarely find in UK hotels, especially in Liverpool. The shower setup was a bit complex, but the clear instructions provided made it easy to use, which was a thoughtful touch. The space was incredibly large, more like an apartment than a hotel room. The bed (on a platform, for those who care) was extremely comfortable, with high-end bedding that made for a great night’s sleep. Room was exactly as shown in photos. TV has streaming services, make sure to log out of your account. The Cons: Unfortunately, several major issues overshadowed the positives. Parking was a significant problem. The in-room instructions directed us to a lot that was closed due to construction, and nearby alternatives were full. This was especially frustrating because we specifically chose this property for its advertised “dedicated parking.” The listing clearly states that a designated parking space would be available, but this was not the case. Instead, the welcome guide contradicted this, stating that only paid street parking was available. Trueman Street is currently under construction and one lane with no evident street parking, let alone free parking from 6pm to 8am. Gated parking lot had only one car. Check-in was even more problematic. We booked through a third party and never received pre-arrival instructions. We arrived with no way to enter the property. We were left standing in cold rain for over two hours, with our rental car illegally parked in front of what we believed was the “dedicated parking” gate. We had no idea an app was required for entry until we arrived. Attempts to resolve the issue through the booking company were extremely frustrating—they refused to connect us directly with the property, forcing us into a long and ineffective back-and-forth. We were repeatedly told the keys were inside an open apartment, but they were behind a locked door we couldn’t access. At one point, we were told the door had been remotely opened, but by the time we got there, it had already locked again. To make matters worse, signage at the entrance warned that guests would be charged for calling for assistance, and the call button was labeled “emergency only.” We still tried it - being locked out certainly felt like an emergency - but it went unanswered. Eventually, after calling the listed number and struggling through a poor connection, someone remotely unlocked the door and we were finally able to get in. It was an incredibly stressful and exhausting start to our stay. On top of everything, we ended up paying £7.50 twice for parking at a nearby lot, despite booking this property specifically for its advertised dedicated parking. As of this writing (and response from the property) the inaccurate parking description has not been corrected. Advice for future travelers: If you haven't heard from the property prior to your travel, reach out to them, you won't be able to check-in otherwise. You will need to download the Flexipass app (orange background with a black X) and receive a login to open the front door. Download the yellow and black NCP (National Car Parks) app before arriving. The nearby lot we used (“Liverpool Primrose Hill”) is small—we got the last available space—so plan ahead and save it in your map. Late night dining is extremely limited. Kitchens were closed by 9pm. We found a kebob place and the lovely pub around the corner, The Excelsior, allowed us to bring it in to enjoy with some pints. Final thoughts: This property has the potential to be fantastic, but the misleading parking information and lack of clear check-in communication created a very negative experience. The aggressive signage didn't help. With better organization, accurate information, and PARKING, this could have been a completely different stay.
