Set on Castle Chambers, the 78-room hotel is built for straightforward, affordable stays rather than extras, with prices that flex depending on how much room you need.

Rooms are compact but well kept, with en-suite bathrooms, walk-in showers and air conditioning, plus a lift for access throughout the building and rooms adapted for accessibility. There's no restaurant on site, but the surrounding streets make up for it, with eateries, pubs and bars all close by, along with entertainment venues and options for fishing and watersports further afield. Reception operates around the clock, which suits early arrivals and late finishes alike.

The location is the main draw, close to Liverpool Central Station and within walking distance of the city's main attractions, restaurants and shops. It's a practical choice for anyone wanting a clean, central base without paying for facilities they won't use.

Great price vs other hotels in the area. The bed wasn't real comfortable but the air conditioning made it better lol some don't have a/c . Shop across the street was convenient. The shower was clean. I was on the second floor. I would have liked to have been a bit higher for a better view. I did like the hot water available at the desk to make my own cappuccino.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean and modern with walk in showers. Bathrooms have frosted glass screens so not much privacy for friends but fine for couples. The rooms are small compared to most hotel and can only be classed as minimal. No hairdryer, no kettle, but did have air-conditioning which is a bonus. Beds seem small doubles and ours was hard. But overall we felt valued for money on the price we paid. Somewhere to sleep after busy days in Liverpool. Felt safe and secure. Excellent location and friendly staff.

The reception staff were great, unfortunately my room had not been cleaned from the previous guest. Additionally I had been booked in an accessible room despite not having requested one. I was moved to a more appropriate room, which was very cramped, but fine for the one night. Not a criticism of the hotel, but it was very loud outside which may have been weekend partying or an event.

Room 201 location is amazing everything u need is around, bit loud on the weekend until 3am due to clubs music. service from staff was very mid, we didn’t feel welcomed when we arrived and when we needed towels etc it seemed to be an inconvenience. the room was nice just needed some maintenance, bedside lights and head board light didn’t work, only 1 plug socket worked and the mirror and windows had handprints when we checked in.
