About 62 Castle Street Hotel
Twenty rooms across three floors make up 62 Castle Street Hotel, a compact base right in the heart of Liverpool. The address puts guests within easy reach of the docks and James Street, useful for exploring the city's waterfront and attractions without relying on transport.
Rooms come well-decorated and generously sized, each with an en-suite bathroom, mini bar and the option of drinks and room service delivered directly to the door. Breakfast is served each morning and has been noted as a genuine highlight of a stay here. A bar on site adds to the options, alongside free WiFi, a lift and 24 hour reception for those arriving at odd hours. Staff are generally friendly and willing to help, though a few stays have flagged service that felt less polished than expected.
Outside the front door, Liverpool's pubs, bars and restaurants are all close by, making it simple to head out for the evening. Parking is available nearby for a fee rather than on site, worth factoring in for anyone driving into the city.
What guests say
Just spent 6 days in this beautiful hotel. Rooms were very large and comfortable. Staff were very helpful, polite and generally lovely. Conveniently located for all attractions. Yeah can be noisy at times, but then if you want convenience you have to take the cons with it. Great city, great people can't wait to visit again and stay here. Highly recommend.

The room itself was great. There were times where I felt like I was playing musical lights trying to figure out which light switch was the one to turn things on. Otherwise a great stay. Very high ceilings. Loved that. The traffic enforcement in the city is working seven days a week. They make regular rounds in front of the hotels to give tickets to tourists and people who are unloading their car for too long out front. I’d call it poaching.

This place sucks. They have decommissioned all the Aircon, the rooms are like a sweat box. You can't open the windows more than a 10cm gap because they have a safety wire on them. You also can't close the curtains if you want any air flow in the room at all. There is a fan in the room but no plug anywhere near the bed so no good overnight. Staff are lovely and location is great but don't come here when it's remotely warm you won't get any sleep.

We recently stayed at 62 Castle Street Boutique Hotel and overall had a very pleasant experience. The interior design is beautiful, stylish and very functional. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the mattress was extremely comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep. The location is excellent — right in the city centre, with everything within easy walking distance. There were, however, a few small downsides. According to the hotel’s website, bathrobes are included in every room. Unfortunately, there were none in ours. When we asked at reception, we received a rather evasive response and were left with the impression that since we booked the room at a lower rate, we shouldn’t expect them. That felt unprofessional and disappointing — guests do not set the prices, and the hotel advertises that all rooms have the same amenities, differing only in size. Another thing to consider is the noise. Given the central location, it is understandable, but if you are a light sleeper or planning to return late and rest properly after a long day of sightseeing, it may be an issue. Earplugs are recommended. Also, the fridge, placed right next to the bed, was quite noisy at times, which wasn’t the most practical design choice. Despite these minor issues, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel, especially for its comfort, cleanliness and fantastic location and beautiful design.
