Duck Bay stands on the banks of Loch Lomond at Arden, on the A82 between Balloch and Luss, with an outlook across the water towards Ben Lomond that has made it a fixture for Sunday lunches and family celebrations for decades. It combines a substantial restaurant and bar operation with hotel rooms and a set of self-catering cottages in the grounds.

Absolutely amazing. I went on a random Tuesday in February and it was quite busy but still plenty of space. Gorgeous views of the loch while you eat. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful, and the service was really speedy. I had a delicious seafood linguine and my server was able to help me pick a good wine. I also had the cookie dough for dessert which was delicious if a bit too much for one person haha. There was a range of groups and ages dining. I just walked over from Balloch which was very easy to do as the area is very walkable, but they had a large car park. Highly recommend.

Stayed at this hotel for my first ever trip to Scotland. We were visiting friends and wanted to stay local. The views from the suite patio were stunning. The staff were all incredibly friendly and felt they went above and beyond to be welcoming. From the front desk, housekeeping, breakfast staff and restaurant everyone made us feel welcome and important. There was so much beauty and nature surrounding the hotel. I would highly recommend.

Stopped in for food on a busy Sunday without a booking. Staff were happy to get us a table. Great menu and great cocktails and one of the best gluten free menus I have ever seen. Staff were lovely. A great relaxed atmosphere even though it was busy! Sat and looked out at the lake as we ate. Will be back

Arriving here for dinner over the weekend was simply beautiful. So relaxing and right on the water, it was raining during our visit but still so breathtaking to eat right by the window looking out over the loch. The seafood platter was absolutely divine, I couldn't fault a single thing on it and it was plentiful for 2. I also had the cookie sundae as a sweet treat and was absolutely stuffed - cookie was very hard though so I'd opt for the strawberry meringue one next time. The service was flawless. The staff really went above and beyond for us. As a wheelchair user I was very worried when we went in and saw a staircase with no obvious sign of a lift however the staff quickly took us to the side where a smaller lift took me right up. It was a really nice evening and we will absolutely be back to enjoy dinner on the loch again - hopefully with better weather!
