About 9A Craven Road Hotel
9A Craven Road Hotel keeps things straightforward with an on-site restaurant and bar, plus breakfast served daily, so there's no need to head out first thing before exploring London. Free WiFi runs throughout, and there's a lift for guests who'd rather skip the stairs.
The hotel has just 12 rooms, each fitted with a flat-screen television and air conditioning, and the overall style is modest and functional rather than luxurious. Guests get the basics well covered - laundry service, luggage storage, porter and concierge help, and free on-site parking for those arriving by car. There's also a small gym and a spa/sauna on-site, along with a space that can be booked for weddings.
Located in Greater London, the hotel puts guests within reach of Chessington World of Adventures and London Paddington, useful for both families and those catching trains onward. Pubs, restaurants and other eateries are all close by, making it easy to venture out for a meal beyond the hotel's own menu.
What guests say
Better than I expected for such a cheap room. I paid just under £45 for a double room which was reasonable size for a cheap hotel. Looked like it had recently had some refurbishment and was quite modern in appearance including a sparkling bathroom with an excellent shower. The bed did not have the most expensive and comfortable mattress in the world, but I've certainly had worse in more expensive hotels! Plus our room had French doors opening onto a tiny balcony (well, just a railing outside the doors really) that let in some fresh air and looked out over a bustling Praed Street. All in all, excellent value and would definitely stay there again.

The rooms are minuscule. I could barely fit my suitcase in the room. The walls were filthy, the bathroom mirror was cracked and it was incredibly hot. My partner and I booked for the reasonable price, however I would have to say that anyone planning on coming to London should definitely budget for a much more expensive room, it will make your time in the city so much more enjoyable. (Will let you know if my bags end up “missing” after room cleaning)

It's oke. For the price it's a fine hotel. Location of the hotel is between station Paddington and Lancaster Gate. Staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean, a bit mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Bathrooms differ in size. Roadside rooms have small bathrooms, rooms in the back of the hotel have larger bathrooms. One room in the back of the hotel was very warm in comparison to the roadside rooms. This room was not well ventilated. The exhaust of the restaurant was ride under the window, which made the room smelly. The lobby is very minimalistic. Breakfast is fine.

1) Location is perfect! Literally 2 minutes from Paddington station. Ideal for people travelling a lot, like me, and using Heathrow Express. 2) Staff are so lovely and helpful! I want to especially thank Andrew and Rana! 3) The price is affordable for a stay in such a great location in London!

Modest rooms with flat-screens in a basic hotel in the city centre featuring a restaurant.
