It was our first trip to London in mid-July 2026 from Chicago. After a lot of research, I selected this place for 5-night stay with my family. I can say it was a disappointment. Let me break it down: Good: 1. Location: The single most best thing. What a convenient location. Bad: 1. Beds: So poor quality beds, squeaking. 2. AC: It was showing 19C but not running. We called it out in the hotel's internal review during our stay but no one showed up to fix. 3. Bath Towels: So old and warn out. You wipe after shower and the white threads are everywhere on your body and hair. 4. Room Cleanliness: After first full day we walked in our room and despite our request of getting it cleaned, the carpet was not vacuumed. What's the point of staying in a hotel where you pay more than 300USD per night where they don't even clean? 5. This is the funniest one: So, first day we woke up and realized that we needed more bottled water. I called at 7:30 AM. The receptionist guy said the room service would start at 8:30 so he would note my request. Guess what, we came back in evening and nothing had arrived. Only after my internal review of their request ( during our stay ) they took care of it. 6. Bar: One day we decided to stay there for an hour after we came back. I have never seen a few drinks take 30 minutes. So slow. I totally found nothing worth high stars. Mediocre hotel and horrible facilities.

Wonderful hotel. The staff was excellent. The person who checked us in on 6/13 was great. All of the staff were very friendly. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was very nice. The staff was always helpful and we enjoyed the breakfast. We had drinks one evening and the bartender was great. It is a great location, close to tower of London and a underground rail line. Our room was always very clean and I think they do a good job of being environmentally sound. Liudmyla was our housekeeping person, and it was nice to meet her and they did a wonderful job.

We had such a lovely stay here. All the staff were so nice and helpful. The hotel is like minutes from the tube station and we found it easy to get around London. We got upgraded to a junior suite and it was so lovely. We are definitely coming back!

I had a very pleasant stay at the Apex City of London Hotel. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortably furnished. The service was also excellent – the staff was always friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated the option to securely store luggage both on arrival and departure. There is a dedicated room for this, accessible only with a special key held exclusively by staff, which felt very trustworthy and well organized. The location is generally excellent: the Underground station is just a few minutes’ walk away, and the proximity to Tower Hill and Tower Bridge is fantastic. The area itself is very safe and clean, although it can feel a bit quiet at times, as some shops around the hotel are closed – therefore, I would rate the location 4 out of 5 stars. Overall, a great hotel that I can highly recommend! I would also like to highlight that the staff is extremely kind and professional. In particular, Rahul and Raphaela were incredibly helpful and made my stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, I would like to praise the hotel’s restaurant, The Lampery, and especially its excellent Restaurant Assistant & Bar Manager, Robert Axinia. Robert does an outstanding job – he is constantly attentive, proactive, and truly dedicated to ensuring the well-being of his guests.
