About Blakemore Hyde Park
Paddington's mix of transport links and leafy space just west into Hyde Park makes this corner of London a practical base, and Blakemore Hyde Park sits within easy reach of both. The hotel has 138 rooms, with some suites offering a separate lounge area and well-kept bathrooms, giving guests a bit more room to spread out than a standard city hotel room.
Facilities include a restaurant and bar on site, air conditioning, free WiFi, drinks available in rooms, and concierge services to help with plans for the day. Breakfast is a particular strength, consistently mentioned as one of the better parts of a stay here, and staff are noted for being friendly and helpful. One point to flag: the lift has been reported as out of service at times, worth bearing in mind for guests who'd rather not use the stairs.
Beyond the hotel, the area offers plenty nearby to eat, drink, or be entertained, with pubs, restaurants and other eateries within easy walking distance. London Paddington station is close by, making onward travel straightforward, while Hyde Park itself provides an easy green escape from the city streets.

What guests say
Place: positioned in very safe and clean neighbourhood, near beautiful Hyde park, underground is not so far as other guests commented (700-800m approximately). Rooms: clean, with big toilets, AC is working even when card is not inserted (when you are out of the room) if you leave it on, which is really good if you want to come to fresh room especially in summer. You get complimentary 2 bottles of water daily. I didn’t have any problems with fridge, it was cool and kept everything cold. Beds were comfortable and you had various pillows option. Breakfast: Coffee machine made perfect espresso, but some food as eggs were bland without any taste (not even salty) but I think that’s more UK thing with food… Even If I am not sweet tooth they had very good croissants, jams, honey, cereals and also melon and mango was there which is thumbs up, but I think they can make more meat options. For breakfast you can also find sausages (good), fried cheese (good), eggs (tasteless, bland), ham (good), beans (not bad), low fat greek yogurt with various tastes were very very good. Gym (exceptional): what surprised me the most was the gym which had treadmills, stationery bike, 2-20kg dumbbells, wire station with various attachments, bench (small adjustable), bar with weights, water fountain, disinfectants, towels. This is very god for small to medium sized hotel as this one. Which was not so perfect: Even if the cleaning staff was fast and very efficient and room was always perfectly clean, one morning they were so loud with cleaning the hall that they woke me up. Also at 6:00 if your room is positioned near trash leaving site you can hear workers cleaning it and waking you up almost every morning with soumd of cracking glass, but other things were very good. All accounted hotel was nice, staff was very eager to help, bar and reception was good, yes elevator is maybe smaller but you have 2 you can use (depends on position of the room), so no problem with it.

Well, the whole hotel looks like it is falling apart. Our room had a table that had stains that were there as well as a crack in multiple areas of the wall. The light above the sofa bed didn't turn on. It just flashed. You coulldn't turn off that light without turning off the rest of the lights in the room. Breakfast was present, but it was relatively awful, especially for kids. They went all in on eggs, sausage, etc, but would benefit from some more variety. Fruit was mostly melon and some apples. It was also the same every day for the most part, which is unfortunate for long stays. I regretted getting the breakfast, and wish I just ate out for breakfast or grabbed something from a grocery store. The carpet in the room was in rough shape and there were moldy spots in the bathroom. Air conditioning was essentially non functional as it did not cool down the room at night. Lastly, we had a stressful experience after a child's accident when housekeeping reported a damage issue to the mattress and they temporarily deactivated our card. The manager reviewed the situation the following morning and stated verything was OK, which was appreciated. After investigation, it was determined the damage wasn't even by us (which is also a bit disturbing from a cleanliness perspective). It's also a bit of a walk from Paddington Station (15 minutes).

What a great place to stay in Central London! Stayed with family from 8th June to 11th June 2026. This is a very cozy, calm hotel with some wonderful hosts as staff. Right from check in to send off, everything was taken care of exceptionally well. Rooms are maintained extremely well and they have a decent spread for breakfast. Close to Hyde Park and Nottinghill, the place is well connected to all parts of the city and the airports. Will definitely stay again !

This is the fifth time we have stayed here and the previous 4 times everything was fantastic. This time however we noticed the executive rooms are starting to look tired and worn. The window has a broken catch, the shower is starting to show mould in the bottom corners, the shower tray had small holes in the base, the rain shower head poured water from the top, the air conditioning worked intermittently and it was the start of a very warm period in May, and the carpet was starting to come away from the edges. Overall the hotel is still great but I think it is time to start refurbishment of the rooms, to maintain its 4 star rating.
