About Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel

Canary Wharf has grown into one of London's key business hubs, its glass towers set right against the Thames, and Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel occupies a spot on Westferry Circus at the heart of it. With 142 rooms, it suits both business travellers working nearby and visitors keen to explore the water's edge and the skyline beyond.

Rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with sturdy beds and properly maintained en-suite bathrooms, along with air conditioning and the option of family or accessible rooms. Guests have access to an indoor pool and gym, plus a spa and sauna for slower mornings. Breakfast is a particular strength, and the on-site restaurant and bar cover most other needs, with room service and drinks in room available too. Staff are generally attentive and friendly, though service has been known to be a little inconsistent at times.

Beyond the hotel, the riverside setting means pubs, restaurants and entertainment are all close at hand, and the Thames path makes for an easy stroll. Business services, meeting rooms and valet parking are on site for those working in Canary Wharf, while concierge services and laundry facilities take care of the practical side of a stay. Pets are welcome, and the hotel also hosts weddings.

Brilliant location and the most attentive staff- we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. On arrival we were greeted immediately and had our bags taken. There was a slight issue with check in however this was promptly sorted and we were kindly given a complimentary breakfast. Special thank you to Sahil and Anu on reception. The hotel was clean and tidy and the room was a great size. Breakfast was delicious and the bar and waiting staff couldn’t do enough for us. We would definitely visit again.

Hotel feels very old. We stayed and one night the fire alarm went off about 5 times during the night because of a fault in the system. Genuinely felt like a method for torture. The staff have said that they’d refund that one night but we’ll see if that happens Only saving grace is the view of the river. Edit: still not heard anything from the hotel, in their reply to the review they said to email again which I’ve done several times. Apparently they’re more responsive to reviews than their actual emails

Awful hotel and one of the worst experiences I have ever had. We were told we could check in at 12pm, only to arrive after a long flight and be told we couldn't get checked in until 3pm. We decided to go for lunch at the on site restaurant. Total disaster. We were served a "Spaghetti Carbonara" that was in a thin tasteless butter sauce with pieces of uncooked bacon. We also had the "Crab Ravioli" that was the texture of microwaved cardboard, no visible filling, and a thin tasteless sauce that had split. The service took ages as well. At this point we asked for a refund and explained we were exhausted and had already waited the better part of two hours for a meal we had to send back. They offered to comp our meals and send up room service when we could check in. We got to our room, no bags had been sent up which confused the front desk. And when the room service arrived it was an oven pizza. I wish I was joking. And then the fre alarm went off six times at random intervals between midnight and three o'clock in the morning. Which is legally torture. We have been offered no apology or explanation, and although we were offered a full refund of one night they have yet to process this.

4 false fire alarms fired at midnight-2am that woke us up. Wifi is not good at all, it goes in and out. And theres no AC in the lobby and hallways. The staff is very nice and friendly but I still would not recommend this hotel
