About Citadines South Kensington London

South Kensington is one of London's most walkable central districts, close to the tube network and within easy reach of the city's museums, plus a good spread of pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. Citadines South Kensington London sits among this on Gloucester Road, giving guests a base that suits both sightseeing and longer stays.

The hotel has 92 rooms, many with kitchenettes, making it a practical choice for families or anyone wanting more space than a standard hotel room offers. All rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and drinks facilities, with accessible rooms also available. Breakfast is served on-site, and there's free WiFi throughout, a gym for guests who want to keep up a routine, and laundry service for longer trips. Business travellers are catered for too, with meeting rooms and business services alongside the more usual porter and concierge support.

Beyond the room, the location does much of the work: the nearby tube station puts the wider city within easy reach, and there's no shortage of bars, restaurants and entertainment close by. Staff are generally noted for being helpful and friendly, though service can be a little inconsistent at busier times. Pets are welcome, and luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures.

Spent two weeks here just now. Loved the location, it's only about a 25 min tube ride into town and in a quiet neighborhood, 5 min walk to Gloucester station and close to Waitrose if you need, high street Kensington for nice shopping, whole foods, waterstones. Starbucks right beneath the hotel. I enjoyed the ability to cook my own food when needed, and especially used the freezer for freezing water these couple super hot days! That really saved me. I booked a studio since it was just myself. It was just the right enough space for me, nothing too fancy. Disadvantage that there were no electricity sockets right near the bed, and the light switches were also not near the bed. The bathroom is small but sufficient. I ordered a bunch of Amazon packages to the hotel which was convenient. I also enjoyed the free coffee every morning.

A fantastic option for a family of four. The location was superb; it was perfect for exploring on foot and very close to the Underground. The kitchenette in the room was very convenient and a real lifesaver. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation on our next trip.

The property definitely needs some upgrading as it falls below expectations given its part of the Ascott group of properties. If I didn't need to be in the South Kensington area to attend to personal matters, I would have chosen different accommodation. The water heater really takes a while to reach the desired temperature. You'll probably get burned a bit while checking until you find the right setting. Both the toilet and kitchen sinks also don't drain quickly as normal. We reported it to reception and felt a bit disappointed, as the person smirked a little and tried to instruct us that there was a lever to adjust the drain. We had already tried that beforehand and wouldn't have complained if it had been working properly. On the other hand, the property is located in a quieter area, which is nice. Both South Kensington and Gloucester Road stations are within walking distance. Hyde Park is also just a few blocks if you fancy a morning stroll or run.

this place looks better in the photos than in reality. I do not recommend apartment 208 where I stayed at all. It smells of old oil from the kitchen which is on the ground floor. The stench of oil is still felt even with the window closed all day. The whole apartment looked tired and needed to be renovated. I give two stars because the stuff was nice. The extractor fan is visible in the photo through the window at the bottom
