Suite-only Georgian townhouse hotel by Hyde Park and Paddington, suited to travellers who want kitchenette space over a standard hotel room.

About Cleveland Hotel

Cleveland Hotel suits those after a bit more room to spread out than a standard hotel offers, whether that's a longer stay in London or simply wanting somewhere to make a cup of tea without calling room service. Set within a Georgian-era townhouse in Cleveland Square, it's an all-suite property, so every guest gets a suite with its own kitchenette and en-suite bathroom rather than a single room.

Practical extras are built in: free WiFi throughout, drinks available in the room, and a 24 hour reception for whenever you arrive or need something sorted. There's no parking on site, so this is one for guests arriving on foot, by train or by taxi rather than by car.

The location does the heavy lifting for entertainment, with pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries nearby, plus Hyde Park and Paddington Station within easy reach for sightseeing or onward travel. It's a straightforward, comfortable base for exploring central London.

More a hostel than a four star hotel. The location is great, close to shops and train station. The a/c worked well. Staff seemed friendly. Quiet location. Our room was quite small, bathroom also small. Yet they managed to squeeze in a kitchenette with fridge, stove, microwave. The rooms were very dated and scuffed up. Peeling paint, light fixtures in bathroom hanging, pillows not exactly clean. As other reviews mentioned, beware of maybe needing to climb many stairs. Decent value, but some shortcomings for sure, definitely not "4 stars tier hotel".

Be careful. I was billed twice. I called several times and was told “I will let my manager know” but was never put through to a manager. They were “unavailable” but “I will escalate” this. I was also given an email address which I used several times with no response. I verified it was correct email. Hotel Cleveland has been COMPLETELY unresponsive about my double charge. Room was ok (clean) although we had to have outlets brought in to charge our phones because all of the outlets in the room were loose.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a family room and it was very spacious. It had 3 huge windows overlooking the street below so there was lots of natural light, which was lovely. The hotel is in a great location and is close to tube stations and restaurants. It's a little bit tired in places but was very clean and the staff were friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a very good stay. The room has everything. Most of the things are high quality- toilet paper, soup, kitchen appliances, water pressure in the shower. We had a room at level -1 and for us it was perfect as it was super quiet. The only down side was the heating- after 45 min of working it stops. So I woke up several times to turn it on as it was cold. Apart from that, everything else was exceptional.
