About Dockside Hotel
Tower Bridge and the Tower of London are both within walking distance of Dockside Hotel, making it a practical base for exploring this stretch of East London, and public transport links nearby mean the rest of the city is easy to reach too. There are pubs, restaurants and other eateries close by, along with entertainment options for evenings out.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in the room, and family rooms for those travelling with children. Breakfast is included and free WiFi runs throughout. The hotel is generally well regarded for its value, with clean rooms, comfortable beds and staff who are described as pleasant. That said, standards aren't entirely consistent - some visitors have noted the service can feel unprofessional and rooms occasionally show signs of wear. For those prioritising location and a fair price over polish, it remains a sensible choice for a London stay.

After staying at this accommodation for two nights June 2026. We were appalled at the state of the room we were staying in, a table in our room was filthy asked it to be cleaned which was done for us. The shower had mould around the shower tray & on the ceiling in the corner. The cistern lid had thick black grime around the bottom. Tap on sink really dirty. No button on cistern to flush. Skirting board near bathroom door dirty. Blinds not working. We were also very disappointed to find at breakfast warm yogurts warm orange juice. when asked for drinking glasses they were hot, butter packs were soft a suggestion would be a small fridge for these items It was very easy to get to from the train station about a 5min walk, also to catch a no 15 bus into central London. The staff were very friendly. Def would not stay here again.

I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The location felt unsafe and was in a very rough area, which immediately made us uncomfortable. The condition of the room was unacceptable. There was mould growing in multiple places, including the bathroom, and the shower was both broken and covered in more mould. The blinds were ripped, the mirrors were cracked, and overall the room felt neglected and poorly maintained. The smell throughout the room was absolutely awful and didn’t improve during our stay. Cleanliness was a major issue. The bedsheets were dirty, and we were very concerned about bed bugs. It made it impossible to relax or feel at ease. To make matters worse, the window wouldn’t close properly, which meant the room was freezing overnight. We were also woken up very early by loud outside noise because of this. Customer service was equally poor. Staff were unhelpful and showed little interest in addressing any of the issues we raised. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience and not worth the money. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I wouldn’t even give this place a one star, we arrived at the hotel, pre booked and paid for. The receptionist said we haven’t paid and continued to be aggressive. He then ripped up our confirmation information and refused service. We are two young girls and we had nowhere to go. Thankfully we found somewhere else which was so much more accommodating.

Very poorly kept rooms, they need alot of revamping as does the whole building. For the price expected better than we got. The shower was disgusting with mould and just filthy. No plug in sink. This is a shame as owner/manager were friendly
