Fountain House

My second stay was a completely different experience from my first — and not in a good way. The elevator was out of service throughout my stay — which was a serious issue as I am pregnant and had flagged this in advance. Despite notifying the staff beforehand, nothing was done, no solution was offered, and no compensation was provided. The staff were unhelpful and unresponsive throughout. Even at checkout, there was zero cooperation — we had nowhere to use the restroom or pray while waiting for our car, which felt completely dismissive of basic guest needs. Cleanliness was also below standard, and basic amenities like toilet paper and tissues were not provided unless specifically requested each time — something that should be standard in any accommodation. My first stay gave me hope, but this experience erased it entirely. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend it — especially to anyone travelling while pregnant or with accessibility needs.

I stayed at Fountain House back in 2019 and booked the three-bedroom apartment. At that time, the living room was much bigger and the apartment felt far more spacious and comfortable for families. During my recent stay, I noticed that the current two-bedroom layout feels much smaller and tighter compared to before. The living area especially looked tiny compared to what I remembered from my previous experience. The location is still great, but I honestly preferred the older apartment layout and sense of space

We stayed in the 3-bedroom unit from June 28 to July 2, 2026. The location is excellent and the apartment has a good overall layout, which made the stay convenient. That said, the property is in clear need of updates. The carpets are stained and need to be replaced, and the walls are scuffed and would benefit from repainting. There are also no hooks in the hallway for coats, which would be a simple but useful improvement. The bedding also needs attention—the pillows were uncomfortable and felt flat and lumpy. We reached out multiple times via Booking.com, but did not receive a response from the property, which was disappointing. Overall, the stay did not match the price point, and the property would benefit significantly from a refresh and better guest communication.
