About Grove Guest House

Breakfast is served each morning at Grove Guest House, a small two-room guest house on Earlham Grove in East London, giving guests a proper start before heading out to explore. There's also a restaurant on site, alongside free WiFi and a garden where you can sit outside when the weather allows.

With only two rooms, this is a compact, personal sort of stay rather than a large hotel, and guests get the benefit of luggage storage and a laundry service alongside the usual comforts. Free on-site parking is available too, which is a useful bonus for a London property.

Victoria Park is close by for a walk or some fresh air, and the surrounding area has plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants nearby for evenings out. Transport links make it straightforward to reach the rest of East London and beyond.

We had a wonderful stay at Grove Guest House at the end of April this year. Hazel was absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome. Our room was very spacious, and the location was incredibly convenient, with a short walk to the tube station, grocery store, coffee shop, and several pubs. Staying here felt like visiting my grandma's house in the best possible way—warm, comfortable, and full of charm. One of our favorite parts of the stay was enjoying breakfast in the dining room and chatting with Hazel before heading out for the day. Those conversations made our visit feel especially personal and memorable. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Grove Guest House to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay.

❤️ An Exceptional Sanctuary: More Than a Guest House My partner travels to London every single week for work, and for years, finding consistent, comfortable lodging was a constant struggle. That all changed the moment she discovered the Grove Guest House and met its proprietor, Hazel. I can honestly say that since that day, she has never looked back or booked a room anywhere else. Hazel is the absolute heart of this place. Her welcome isn't just polite; it's genuinely warm, deep, and enveloping, making every stay feel personal and cherished. Because of her extraordinary hospitality, the Grove Guest House has transcended being just temporary lodging—it has truly become a second home for us. A World of Its Own To stay at the Grove is an experience in itself, and it’s one everyone should seek out. Stepping through the front door is like entering a vibrant, lovingly curated world. The house is intensely colourful, wonderfully vintage, and utterly unique, filled with character in every nook and cranny. It’s clear that this is a home full of love and personal history, not just a business. And, of course, no review would be complete without mentioning Cleo—the incredibly handsome, charming star of the show (you'll spot him in the pictures!). And, of course, no review would be complete without mentioning Cleo—the incredibly handsome, charming star of the show (you'll spot him in the pictures!). The combination of Hazel's caring nature and the house's magnificent atmosphere creates a truly unparalleled retreat from the hustle of London. It is a place that feeds the soul.

Hazel is a ICON, and so lovely and accommodating and this place feels so homely! Rooms are super clean, and the place feels so homely. It's 5 mins walk from a Crossrail station too.
