About Zedwell Piccadilly

Great Windmill Street sits right in the thick of Soho, a few minutes' walk from Piccadilly Circus, with the theatres, restaurants and bars of the West End on every side. Zedwell Piccadilly makes the most of that position, tucking a calm, sound-insulated hotel behind one of London's busiest stretches.

Rooms are straightforward and comfortable, each with an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning, and family and accessible rooms are available. The design favours a peaceful night's sleep over extras, so those wanting a fully stocked minibar or extensive in-room facilities may find things kept fairly basic. A lift serves all floors, WiFi is free throughout, and luggage storage is on hand for early arrivals or late departures.

There's no restaurant on site, but that hardly matters given the setting: pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants line the surrounding streets, and the entertainment of the West End is on the doorstep. Public transport links are close by, making it easy to reach the rest of London. For a central base that prioritises quiet and value over frills, this is a solid choice.

★★★☆☆ I stayed here for one night. The location is good, the room was clean, and everything worked as expected. What really let the hotel down was how everything seemed designed to generate extra revenue. Even something as basic as luggage storage after check-out costs around £10. For a hotel at this price point, I expected a more guest-friendly experience. Instead, it felt like every additional service came with another charge, while guests are expected to do much of the process themselves through self-service. I don't mind self-service when it adds convenience, but when you're already paying a relatively high room rate for a three-star hotel, charging extra for basic services leaves a poor impression. The stay itself was fine, but the overall experience felt more focused on maximizing revenue than on customer hospitality. Because of that, I probably wouldn't choose to stay here again.

We stayed here thursday late check in and left Saturday morning. The hotel was easy to find and is very central. Check in was smooth however.. finding your room can be quite confusing as it’s very grey and calming colours so easily go the wrong way. The room was as described on the website, plain and simple. Very quite very relaxing. Air con was perfect. The points that didn’t go down well for me is I tried contacted the reception by phone and WhatsApp at 23:29 to ask for and extra pillow, the response I got was ‘ Dear guest extra pillows are subject to availability due to high occupancy we are running shortage of the pillows thanks.’ Considering they have 700+ rooms that’s poor. There was a few are things that wasn’t great (decor I mean) bin full of dents (no big deal but come on..) and plaster broken. Just little touches. Other than the minor decor problems it was wonderful.

I had a wonderful stay at Zedwell Piccadilly Circus and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel in the heart of London. The rooms were clean, modern, and provided a peaceful escape despite being just moments from the bustle of Piccadilly Circus. What truly made my stay exceptional was the outstanding hospitality from Wajiha, the Front Office Manager, and her fantastic team. They were incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive throughout my stay, always going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Their genuine kindness and willingness to help made me feel valued as a guest and really elevated the entire experience. Thank you to Wajiha and the whole front office team for making my stay so enjoyable. I look forward to returning and would happily recommend Zedwell Piccadilly Circus to friends, family, and anyone visiting London.

The hotel is very centrally located and in a great spot near a lot of shops, theatres, and restaurants. While the service leaves something to be desired, as you have to check in and get your own room keys on a self-service tablet that is not very customer-friendly, and they do not clean the rooms during your stay. If you want towels, you will have to ask the person in the lobby, and the trash does not get taken out. The room itself was fine, very minimal, but it was clean and had everything you might need. The issue is the toilet. The "room" with the toilet is encased in glass that is frosted. This does not leave any privacy from the rest of the room, and everything can be clearly heard from the toilet to the rest of the room. This hotel is great if you are looking for a fairly reasonably priced room that is centrally located and has the bare necessities and nothing else.
