About Marriott Executive Apartments London Canary Wharf

Hertsmere Road runs alongside West India Quay in Canary Wharf, where old dockside warehouses meet the glass towers of London's financial district, and it's here that Marriott Executive Apartments London Canary Wharf makes its home. The water and quayside restaurants are right on the doorstep, with the wider business district and its transport links within easy reach.

The hotel has 47 rooms spread across four floors, each with its own kitchen, a separate living area and en-suite bathroom, making it suited to longer stays as much as short visits. Air conditioning, free WiFi and in-room drinks are standard, and family rooms and accessible rooms are available. Guests can eat at the on-site restaurant or bar, order room service, or make use of laundry and luggage storage. There's a gym and a spa with sauna on site, plus meeting rooms and business services for those working while away.

Concierge and porter services are on hand, and an electric vehicle charge point is available, though parking itself is chargeable and off-site. Beyond the quay, Canary Wharf offers a concentration of pubs, restaurants and eateries within walking distance, making it easy to fill evenings without straying far from base.

Firstly, a positive — the staff couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating when there’s an issue. They really do their best to help. That said, I’d strongly recommend staying elsewhere, especially if you’re travelling for business — there’s plenty of competition in the area. Cleanliness is a real concern, with used tissues left lying around in public spaces, personal medications and creams from previous guests still in rooms, and bins that haven’t been emptied. The hotel itself feels quite tired, with heavy limescale on taps and a noticeable damp smell in some rooms. I ended up switching between three different rooms in one night, just to be sure. The electrics can also be unreliable — the air conditioning, phones, and fridges don’t always work as they should. Finally, if your room is on the side furthest from the river, be prepared for the trains. The vibrations are so strong you’ll genuinely wonder how they’re not running right through the building. In short, while the staff are fantastic and go above and beyond, the hotel itself really needs investment. They’re working far too hard to make up for the building’s shortcomings.

Rooms smelled damp and old food. Garbage bag in the kitchen in the first room looked like it hadn't been changed in months. The garbage can was even worse! The furniture was stained with food. The second room we walked in and out immediately. It stunk. The 3rd room smelled ok but clearly required cleaning. Which they asked us to wait until cleaning was done. It wasn't done. I was so fed up that I ended up buying my own products and cleaning the room myself! Asked for some extra washcloths which took 2hrs to come after multiple phone calls. We were on the 9th floor with a view of building exhaust fan and highway. We were supposed to get a call from the manager after waiting 2 hrs for the wash cloths, but did not receive one. The enfineer who came to fix tje tv was finally the one who tracked down the maid and brought us some!! Terrible hotel. I will never stay here again or recommend it!!!

Spacious apartment with great amenities. As a family, we really appreciated having a washer and dryer on our floor. The staff provided excellent service. We loved the convenience of being close to both the Jubilee and Elizabeth line stations, making travel to central London and Heathrow Airport easy. The hotel’s proximity to shopping malls, grocery stores, and a wide range of restaurants was also a big plus. The view from our apartment, especially at night, was beautiful.
