About Nobu Hotel London Portman Square

Portman Square sits at the quieter end of Marylebone, a short walk from the bustle of Oxford Street and close to Baker Street Station, and it's here that Nobu Hotel London Portman Square occupies its address at number 22. The square itself gives the hotel a settled, residential backdrop despite being minutes from some of London's busiest shopping streets.

The 249 rooms are air-conditioned and en-suite, with family and accessible options available, and guests consistently find them comfortable and well kept. Facilities extend to a gym, spa and sauna, meeting rooms and business services, plus VIP facilities and a wedding venue for those after something more occasion-led. Room service and drinks in room are available for anyone happy to stay put.

Food is a genuine strength here: the restaurant serves Nobu's Japanese cuisine, there's a bar and outdoor seating, and the breakfast buffet draws particular praise for its range of fresh options. Staff are generally attentive and professional, though service has been known to vary. Concierge and childcare services are on hand, pets are welcome, and with restaurants, pubs and entertainment nearby, the hotel makes an easy base for exploring Marylebone and beyond.

I was really impressed with our stay at Nobu Hotel London. The hotel was spotless, the rooms were comfortable, well maintained, and had everything we needed. Every member of staff we dealt with was friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful. The location is outstanding. Having previously lived in London, I’d say it’s arguably one of the best locations for visitors. You’re within easy walking distance of Hyde Park, Selfridges, and countless great restaurants, cafés and shops, while still being in a quieter part of London. The gym was another highlight—it’s spacious, well equipped and far better than what you typically find in a hotel. A special mention also goes to the doormen, who were consistently friendly, professional and happy to help with anything we needed. They really made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I’d happily stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

I wish I could give the service 10 stars! There are not enough words to express how lovely they are and how they go above and beyond. We had a high maintenance group and they did absolutely everything to make our stay amazing. I cannot recommend this hotel enough! The hotel is gorgeous and you cannot beat the location, but the people make the experience so special.

Exceptional Stay – Incredible Service and High Standards** We had an absolutely excellent stay at this hotel. **The Room:** The room was incredibly comfortable, and having a balcony was a wonderful bonus. I must emphasize that the bed was, without a doubt, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in any hotel! **Cleanliness & Housekeeping:** The cleanliness here is simply amazing. Housekeeping operates at an exceptionally high standard of order and cleanliness, coming in twice a day with an impressive attention to the smallest details. **Areas for Improvement:** If I had to note any downsides, it would only be minor technical details in the bathroom: the bathtub is quite high, making it a bit tricky and slightly precarious to step out of. Additionally, the toilet flush button is hidden behind the toilet seat when it's open. **Dining:** The food is truly superb! The breakfast is a real treat, combining a rich, fresh buffet with the option to order your main dish directly from an à la carte menu. Also, the coffee is excellent! **The Service:** Above all else, what truly sets this hotel apart is the warm, polite, and welcoming service. From the bellboys and the concierge to the reception desk, events team, housekeeping, and the dining room staff—everyone was phenomenal. **Location:** The location is perfect. It is situated in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood, despite being incredibly close to the bustling Oxford Street. Highly recommended! I would absolutely stay here again.

Our afternoon at Nobu Hotel London was a truly unique experience. The Japanese inspired Afternoon Tea was beautifully presented, with a perfect balance of delicate savoury bites, elegant desserts, and premium teas. Every detail reflected the quality and creativity that Nobu is known for. One of the highlights of the day was taking part in the Matcha Masterclass. Learning about the history of matcha, watching the traditional preparation, and making our own bowl made the experience even more special. It added a wonderful interactive touch that made the afternoon feel memorable rather than just another afternoon tea. Combined with the hotel’s elegant atmosphere and exceptional hospitality, it was an experience I would highly recommend to anyone looking for something different in London. I can’t wait to return.
