About OYO Kings Hotel

Argyle Square is one of those tucked-away green squares that central London does well, a patch of quiet just off the busier roads around King's Cross and Euston. OYO Kings Hotel occupies a spot on this square at 36-37 Argyle Square, putting guests within easy walking distance of two major stations while still being set back from the main traffic.

The hotel has 45 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and free WiFi, and drinks are available in the room. It's a straightforward, budget-focused set-up rather than a place with extensive facilities, and that's reflected in how guests have rated it, with a modest average score from over a hundred reviews suggesting the experience varies and won't suit everyone.

What it does have going for it is the location: pubs, bars, restaurants and other eateries are all nearby, along with entertainment options, making it easy to eat and go out without travelling far. For anyone who wants a base close to the stations and doesn't need frills, Argyle Square offers a calmer setting than most options in the immediate King's Cross area.

Stayed here for a month plus on a work assignment. Fairly spacious rooms considering its location. At a stone's throw from Kings Cross station, Euston, British Library and most places to eat. The place is basic but good for the price point. Improvements needed in wifi speed. Other than that, very hospitable owners and staff and helped me with laundry when I was busy all day long in work meetings. Overall, a place I'd recommend in King's cross. If you're looking for a decent budget stay, OYO Kings is a decent place to be.

Stayed here for one night and will never repeat the experience. One star for proximity to St Pancras Station otherwise every other aspect of the stay was awful. Starting with arrival at the entrance only to be redirected a few hundred metres to another OYO hotel and the having to walk all the way back to get access. Not great at night after several hours travel. The room size was ok but the en-suite bathroom was minuscule and filthy dirty (I have pics). The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable, the hanging 'wardrobe' and chair should be consigned to the dump. Finally, we were awoken by a noisy lorry complete with large flashing amber light. My advice would be to avoid this hotel.

The location is good, but the water pressure in the bathroom is weak and there is no elevator. The mattress on the bed is really bad. It's like sleeping on a large latex pillow. I recommend you pay a little more and go to a better place.

Staff very nice and welcoming. Rooms are quite simple, one bed, one chair and that's it. No table, no space for luggages. Bathroom is very very small. Soap furnished but no glass for example. Bed relatively good. Insonorisation very bad, you can hear your neighbors breath and take their shower... Reception Iocated at OYO Apolo in the street near by. No possibility of breakfast. 5 min walk from king's cross station.
