For any Harry Potter hardcore fan it’s a must to go to platform 9 3/4 in king’s cross but the queue for the picture is very long. Can take a 1hr wait Its the exact location of the story, the Harry Potter studios have the same prop so you save some time there. There’s a nice store next to it but again, the Harry Potter studios have gift shop next to it.

We stopped by King’s Cross around 8pm to check out Platform 9¾. If you're a Harry Potter fan, it's definitely a must-see. The photo setup is creative and fun, with the trolley halfway through the wall, it makes for a great picture. There was a long queue even at that time of the night. Even so, it's still a enjoyable experience for Harry Potter fans.

It was brilliant! We arrived a little before 9 am on a Wednesday and the line was short, 8 people there. The photo staff were wonderful, patiently working with everyone to have a great experience. You can take your own photos (free) and can use all their props, wand and scarfs without any obligation to buy their photos. We took a group picture of 3 of us and 3 individually. The Harry Potter store is next to platform 9 3/4s and you go there to view your photos with no pressure to buy. Their packages are reasonable if your own photos aren't up to snuff. Definitely a bucket list items for Potter fans!

I went on a weekday morning in February, around 10am. I probably waited 20-30 minutes. They carefully pose and take photos of each group individually. They also lend you a scarf and wand. If you like the photos, you can purchase them at the shop next door. I also went to the Harry Potter Studios afterward, but some items were cheaper here, and some were only sold here, so I recommend buying anything you want on the spot.
