About Premier Inn London Farringdon Smithfield

A generous breakfast with plenty of choice is one of the highlights of a stay at Premier Inn London Farringdon Smithfield, alongside a bar where guests can settle in for an evening drink after a day exploring the city. The on-site restaurant adds further convenience for those who'd rather not venture out once they've checked in.

The hotel has 326 rooms spread across seven floors, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and drinks available in the room. Accessible rooms are available, and a lift serves all floors. Some rooms are fitted fairly simply, so those wanting extensive in-room extras may find them basic, but the rooms are noted for being quiet, which makes for a restful night regardless of the busy area outside.

Staff are on hand around the clock at the 24 hour reception, and the location by Smithfield Market puts guests within easy reach of the Barbican Centre and good transport links, with plenty of pubs, restaurants and other eateries nearby for evenings out. Parking is available nearby for a charge.

Standard premier inn, clean, comfortable and quiet. Few tube stations within a 10 min walk, close to St Paul's with loads of eateries and a couple of Tesco express close by. If you've stayed in one PI, you've stayed in them all more or less. This one was cleaner than the last few I stayed in which was nice.

I have 4 bookings in the same week due to different check-in dates for the family and had requested for rooms to be nearby to one another as much as possible. Instead, one room was assigned to the basement -1 level. The room was so musty. After reporting it, the hotel maintenance staff suggested to put some tablets into the drain and switch on the Aircon for ventilation. But the musty smell did not go away after the 1st night. The hotel did not follow up. I checked out after 2 nights but the hotel did not even apologize or offer any compensation. For all future guests, if you are unlucky like me assigned with a room in the basement even if you pay the same price, refuse to take it. Otherwise good luck to you.

Had a great stay here. The room was a good size with nice amenities and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was also very clean, which we really appreciated. The staff at reception were friendly and welcoming, making check-in smooth and pleasant. The hotel also has a good-looking menu, although we didn’t get the chance to try the food during our stay. Overall, a very comfortable stay with great service.

I stay at the Premier Inn quite frequently for business and it’s always good with friendly staff and useful technology for a quick check-in. This time they offered a special offer of the Premier Plus room (mine was Room 450). It was the first time in their Premier Plus room and I really liked it. Most things are the same but you get upgraded seating, a fridge and a pod coffee machine. It definitely felt like you were getting something a bit extra so I would consider again.
