About Riu Plaza London Victoria

Walk into a room at Riu Plaza London Victoria and you get a clean, contemporary space with air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom, in-room drinks and, in a number of rooms, a view out over the city. There are 435 rooms in total, including family and accessible options, so the hotel suits couples, families and business travellers alike. Beds are comfortable and the overall finish feels well maintained rather than dated.

Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar, plus a snack bar for something quicker, and breakfast is a particular strength, with a wide spread of hot and cold dishes to set guests up for the day. A gym is available on-site, and practical extras such as room service, laundry service, luggage storage and concierge assistance are all on hand. Staff are consistently helpful, which makes settling in or sorting out plans straightforward. There's no parking at the property, so this suits guests arriving by train or public transport rather than by car.

The location near Victoria Station puts guests within easy reach of central London's attractions, with pubs, restaurants and entertainment all nearby. It works equally well as a base for sightseeing or as a convenient stopover for business trips.

Used this hotel as a base for a theatre trip. Room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. Amazing views of the London skyline. Staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning. Choice of food items was amazing, something for every taste and appetite. All in all a fantastic visit and we will definitely use this hotel again in the future. Thank you!

Excellent location. We could literally walk or take a train to all major tourist destinations. Extremely family friendly. We were initially apprehensive about basement rooms with no windows. But they turned out to be very good. Very clean, spacious and huge with ample storage space. The hotel staff are very friendly. Always opt for breakfast! Its exceptional. On my next London trip, we will definitely stay only at Riu Victoria! Highly recommended

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. I paid for an upgraded room, yet no complimentary water was provided. When I called guest services to ask for some water, I was told that I would need to go down to the bar or walk to Sainsbury's and buy my own. I could not believe the response. For a hotel that presents itself as a premium property, this level of service is unacceptable. Before booking, I specifically contacted the hotel regarding my dietary requirements and was assured that they would be able to cater for them. However, when I arrived, no arrangements had been made. I simply asked for a fried egg and was refused by the manager because of "hotel policy". If you are unable or unwilling to accommodate basic dietary requests, then guests should be told that before they book. The buffet was also a major disappointment. If you are planning to eat at the hotel, be prepared. The food was very average, with much of it appearing to be cooked in large batches with very little seasoning. The chicken was particularly bland and lacked flavour. The food certainly did not match the standard the hotel claims to offer. Another frustration was the housekeeping team repeatedly knocking on my door before checkout. If checkout is at 12pm, guests should be able to enjoy their room in peace until then without feeling pressured to leave early. The hotel tries very hard to create a luxurious atmosphere, and at first glance it looks impressive. However, beyond the appearance, there is very little substance. The service, attention to detail, and overall guest experience simply do not match the image the hotel is trying to project. To be fair, the room itself was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The housekeeping standards inside the room were good, and that was probably the highlight of my stay. As part of my work, I travel frequently and review hotels, so I have stayed in many different properties and have a good understanding of hospitality standards. Based on my experience, I would rate this as a 2-star experience rather than the standard it advertises. Unfortunately, the poor customer service, lack of attention to dietary needs, disappointing food, and overall experience mean that I will not be returning, nor would I recommend this hotel to others

had a perfect stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the lobby staff were extremely kind and attentive, making me feel welcome at all times. The waiters also provided excellent service, always with a smile and a great willingness to help. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety and high-quality products. The location is unbeatable, very convenient for exploring the area and enjoying everything the destination has to offer. In addition, the view is simply beautiful and makes the experience even more special. It was truly a great stay from start to finish. I fully recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Many thanks to the whole team for making my trip so enjoyable! A special thank you to Gaby at the reception, who welcomed us with incredible kindness. 🌟
