About Rove Hotel London Paddington
Rove Hotel London Paddington occupies a classic terraced building on Norfolk Square, the kind of address that gives this part of London its period character while the rooms inside have been fitted out in a simpler, modern style. It's a short walk from Paddington Station, putting the Underground and rail links within easy reach, with Hyde Park also close by for anyone wanting green space.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and free WiFi, plus drinks available in room, and family and accessible rooms are on offer for those who need them. A lift serves the building throughout. Space is at a premium in some rooms, which run on the small side, and service has been known to vary, so it's worth keeping expectations realistic on both fronts, even as cleanliness has been a consistent strong point.
There's no in-house restaurant, but pubs, bars and eateries are all nearby, along with entertainment options, and a golf course for those wanting to venture a little further. It suits travellers who want a straightforward base near the station rather than a destination in itself.
What guests say
I really enjoyed my stay at Rove Hotel in Paddington. It was in a great location with the station and plenty of shops nearby. I, as a solo female traveller felt safe in the area even at night. The room was clean and had more than everything you need and service was good. You can hear the underground from the room, however I barely noticed after the first day and never overnight. Overall good stay in London!

We booked the Rove Hotel in London through Capital One Travel, where it was advertised as a 4-star property. It fell incredibly short of that standard. The room was unbelievably cramped. To give you an idea, the photo attached shows where the foot of the bed meets the wall. There was barely enough clearance to shuffle past the wall-mounted TV panel, making it incredibly difficult to just walk around the room normally. Beyond the tiny room layout, the hotel itself had a strange vibe, featuring a maze of weird hallway doors equipped with motion sensor lights. Hotel feels old, run down, and not a place to spend more than a night. Fortunately, we were only in town for an 8-hour layover. Had we been staying any longer, we would have checked out and booked a different hotel the second we saw the room. Avoid if you actually need space to move. Side note: It is in a great location and the mini split worked great.

Great location, but the hotel is quite noisy. The rooms are very small, and the bathroom has semi-transparent glass doors with gaps that don’t fully close. You can also hear noise from neighboring rooms through the bathrooms. Other than that, everything was fine. Our room was on the road side of the hotel, overlooking a small park. Unfortunately, doctors and engineers seemed to gather there every night for very passionate discussions about the latest technologies- often quite late and surprisingly loudly. It made it very difficult to sleep. Obviously, this isn’t the hotel’s fault, but it’s something to be aware of when choosing a room.

There was a toilet at the end of my bed. I really had a problem with that. The sink by the open wardrobe, I had to angle my way in to use it, and attempt not to to wet my hanging clothes. It was too small and no where to put things down. They've squeezed too much in, so on paper, they can get a high hotel star rating, but to stay in wasn't pleasant. Using the wardrobe, that's where the tea and coffee facilities are, so that falls out if you want to uang your clothes. Obviously you won't want to boil the kettle if your clothes are hanging on it, so I used the toilet seat as a table. However, it was clean and I did get daily chambermaid service which moved my rating from 1 to 2 star. No dinning area. Ok place for a one nighter, but for a few days, I need more space and hotel catering.
