About The Bill Nicholson Pub

Northumberland Park Avenue in North London sets a proper matchday scene, with Tottenham Hotspur Stadium just up the road and a run of pubs, bars and eateries nearby. The Bill Nicholson Pub sits right in the thick of it, a hotel built around its own bar rather than tucked away from the action.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi and drinks available in room, and the property runs a 24 hour reception so late arrivals and early departures are no trouble. There's also space for business services and meetings for those in London for reasons other than football. The bar itself is the heart of the place, stocking a wide range of beers and ciders, including Foster's on draught, at prices that don't sting, and it fills up with a genuinely good atmosphere before and after matches.

Staff are consistently friendly and attentive, which counts for a lot on a busy match day. With pubs, restaurants and entertainment all close by, and the stadium within easy reach, it suits anyone heading to a game and wanting to stay somewhere that feels part of the occasion rather than apart from it.

While the location near the stadium is convenient, my experience was marred by discriminatory service. After the Bad Bunny concert on June 28, I visited with a group of friends and was treated noticeably differently than my white companion by the bartender (the rest of the staff was great). The bartender, despite being a woman of color herself, openly mocked my order, excluded me from conversation, and provided hostile service. She consistently spoke down to me, treating me with condescension. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment; there are much better options on the other side of the stadium. Avoid at all costs.

Glad to visit after 10+ years. Miss the back garden but got to do what you got to do. Had a lot of fun prematch. If we won I’m sure it would have been even more fun post match. Nice to find a Foster on draught, and very friendly prices
