About The Rembrandt

Breakfast at The Rembrandt is the kind that sets guests up for a full day of sightseeing, with a wide-ranging buffet that stretches to a full English alongside lighter options. There's a restaurant and bar on site too, so a drink or meal doesn't have to mean venturing out, though there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and other eateries within easy reach.

The hotel sits in South Kensington at 11 Thurloe Place, with the area's museums and public transport links close by. Its 194 rooms are generally spacious and kept clean, though some of the smaller rooms won't suit those wanting extra space to spread out. Air conditioning, free WiFi and in-room drinks come as standard, and staff throughout are noted for being friendly and helpful.

Beyond the rooms, facilities run to a gym, spa and sauna, an indoor swimming pool, a garden, and meeting rooms and a wedding venue for larger occasions. Porter and concierge services are on hand, luggage storage is available, and free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward. It's a solid base for exploring the museums and attractions of this part of London.

I stayed at the Rembrandt in May with my family and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. My room was immaculate, probably the cleanest hotel room I’ve ever been in, which is saying a lot. However, the rooms overall can be slightly inconsistent. We had returned to the Rembrandt for a few days after being in the countryside for a week, so that we could rest before our flight back. While the rooms i slept in were spotless, my parents first room had an odor (which they did not notice, so I did not speak up), and their second room they had to change because the air conditioning was not working in the 94F heatwave. Despite this, the service was exceptional, and Pranali especially was so wonderful and kind the entire trip. My parents were easily able to change to a more comfortable room that had working AC. The front desk also helped us order tickets to Westminster Abbey since we were having network troubles back home, and they also kindly ordered us taxis to and from Heathrow. The food was delicious with dinner and afternoon tea being standouts! I do feel like the Breakfast could be better with more options as it reminded me of American hotel breakfast… The location is perfect as its close to the V&A, Natural History museum, Harrod’s a tube station, and many cute shops and eats around South Kensington Overall, we would be happy to return and spend our time in London at the Rembrandt again!!

Loved the place of the hotel, staff very friendly, very comfortable bedding & headpillows (executive twin room). Bottle of water + refils very convenient! Room temperature very nice! Breakfast could have a bit more 'healthy' options: sour bread, fat-free fresh cheese, fresh fruits, fresh juices. And bathroom needs proper cleaning at edges (mold in edges). BUT: keeping price&location in mind: very good hotel, we had a pleasant stay and I would recommend!

I was greeted by a courteous and professional desk agent called Abiola. I made a point of noting his name because he was helpful, knowledgeable and extremely polite, which seem to be rare qualities these days. The hotel itself is perfectly located across the road from the Brompton Oratory in South Kensington, with close proximity to museums and a leisurely walk to Knightsbridge and Chelsea. The hotel is clean, well maintained, and the cleaning service was great. Rooms were comfortable and welcoming. I will stay here again and I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

I had an overall pleasant 8-night stay at this hotel. The location is excellent and one of its biggest strengths. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, even if they are starting to show some age. Breakfast was adequate with a reasonable selection of options. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. In particular, Stella and many others provided excellent service and were always willing to assist. Unfortunately, my experience was let down by an interaction with a staff member named Pablo. A simple request for a laundry bag turned into an unnecessary hassle, and I found his attitude dismissive, arrogant, and rude. For a hotel charging around £270 per night, I do not think providing a basic item such as a laundry bag should be an issue. While this was only one staff member, it did leave a negative impression on an otherwise enjoyable stay. Overall, I had a good stay and would recommend the hotel for its location, comfortable rooms, and the excellent service provided by most of the team.
