About ME London by Melia

The Strand sits right between Covent Garden and the West End, putting theatres, restaurants and London's main sights within easy reach, and ME London by Melia takes full advantage of the spot with a bold, contemporary building on this stretch of the road. The hotel's 157 rooms lean towards clean, modern design, with comfortable beds, quality bedding and rainfall showerheads in the en-suite bathrooms, while air conditioning and free WiFi are standard throughout.

Beyond the rooms, the hotel runs a restaurant, bar and snack bar on site, along with room service and breakfast each morning. Its Radio Rooftop Bar is a particular draw, offering wide views over the city and a spot for a drink above the Strand's traffic. There's also a gym, business facilities, a bridal suite and VIP facilities for events, plus concierge, valet parking and laundry services to handle the practical side of a stay.

Staff are consistently attentive and professional, which smooths over check-in and any requests during the visit. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available, pets are welcome, and luggage storage makes it easy to explore before or after checkout. With pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, the hotel works well as a base for a few days taking in central London on foot.

This hotel is great for location but one of the worst I’ve ever experienced in terms of service. Criminal in fact. Prime example, we accidentally left some valuables (cash) in the hotel room safe, not realizing we had left it until a couple hours after we vacated the room. After calling multiple employees hoping it would be easy to retrieve from the Safe, the hotel manager confirmed they had retrieved the valuables and then took 3 hours to get back to us telling us they had only found some of the valuables. Sound fishy? Without question, there are thieves and shady and questionable employees working at this location. We will never stay here again. Quick update on this. After talking with the manager (aka “Anna”) she never called me back after I told her repeatedly her employees had inaccurately reported a much smaller amount of valuables than had actually been left. I plan to call London Police first thing. Thieves in this hotel and the manager has no accountability. BE AWARE!!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the ME London, and my experience was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring guests had a memorable stay. Throughout my visit, they checked in with me several times to make sure everything was meeting my expectations and to see if I needed anything. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, and uniquely designed. One of the things I appreciated most was the size of the rooms, which are noticeably larger than many hotel rooms in central London. The on-site restaurant was excellent and appeared to be a popular destination for both hotel guests and locals alike. The rooftop bar was another highlight, offering a great atmosphere and wonderful views. The location is excellent, with many of London's most popular attractions within easy walking distance, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. My only minor criticism is that the rooms could benefit from additional storage space for clothing and luggage. However, this was a small issue compared to the overall quality of the experience. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to return on a future visit to London. This is truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a first-class hotel experience in the heart of the city.

This hotel its ok. Love the location, you able to get into any bus or sub right on the same street. The staff is super friendly. The view from our room was nice. The rooftop ambiance was also great. However it needs a little more update on some details such as, the finishes and cleanliness of the rooms. Other than that is a really good spot.

Recently stayed here for a trip to London. Pros- great location, it was easy to get around and back for most of central London, wether walking or taking the tube. We had a terrace room which offered a nice terrace to sit on, but the heat didn't etc us enjoy it as much as we would have liked. That's about it. Cons- the bed was awful. I slept rather poorly and had lower back pain most of the days walking around the city. I only realized it more when we went to Spain and the hotel beds there had changed my whole back issues. The rooms are claustrophobic as the bed takes up almost 85% of the room with little space to relax if needed, or to sort any luggage for 2 people. Drinks at the roof top bar were fine, but are priced accordingly for downtown central London, so we only went there once. The lobby bar was almost always empty, no bartender. We managed to catch one once and then they disappeared, this lead to having other guest asking us where we got our drinks. Other than that the staff was very nice and helpful. Overall not horrible, but definitely disappointed, and would not call this luxury.
