About Travelodge London Kew Bridge
Travelodge London Kew Bridge suits visitors who want a straightforward, affordable place to sleep close to west London's green spaces, rather than a destination in itself. With 111 rooms across five floors, it works well for sightseeing trips, weekend breaks or overnight stays near Kew Gardens and Richmond Park, and for anyone happy to prioritise location and price over polish.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks available in-room, and the hotel offers a bar café and restaurant on site along with breakfast, a lift, 24 hour reception and accessible rooms. Pets are welcome, and there's an electric vehicle charge point plus chargeable underground parking, though drivers need to register their vehicle at reception. It should be said that some rooms have been reported as tired or not always fresh-smelling, so this is a place valued more for convenience than comfort.
The location is a genuine strength, with good public transport links, shops close by, and pubs, bars and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out. Rooms are generally quiet and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, making it a sensible pick for travellers who mainly want an easy base for riverside walks and exploring nearby attractions.

What guests say
Staff are really nice, real people in the best way. Hotels in a beautiful area. Very reasonably price. If we dodged the evening meal (Which was a combo of freezer burn and microwave food) and over priced cocktail £8 sounds great on menu, the description made it sound fresh and tasty. Tilll your presented with a can it would of been five stars all the way. (View opposite the hotel).

Travelodge really hasn't moved with the times. This one is very outdated. No automatic entry door which causes problems trying to manoeuvre a heavy door and luggage. The lifts are incredibly slow. The only air con appears to be in the restaurant, the corridors were unbearably hot (not expecting them to install air con but there are so many better fan options than the plastic old fashioned ones they provide.) For this reason we had our window open constantly. However, this then ment struggling to get to sleep because there was some kind of alarm that emitted 3 high pitched beeps every 8 seconds. I did complain but nothing was done about it and they didn't even seem to know what this beeping was. It wasn't so bad in the morning because the traffic noise muffled it. I think I managed about 3 hours of sleep each night! On the plus side, it's in a lovely area and there's great transport options.

To start I've stayed at a lot of travel lodges and this had to be one of the lower quality ones I have stayed at unfortunately. Here's why. When we arrived, the location generally looks quite run down on the outside, it is not kept well or maintained, it had rubbish scattered everywhere, covered in cigarette buds and looked dirty which with first impressions it didn't quite entice me. The room is as you expect, the standard things here and there. They could invest in an iron for the rooms (if we need to ask for these extra items, it wasn't stated clear to us) room and bathroom were clean, no issues there. The bed and pillows are extremely uncomfortable, each to their own but I found it very difficult to sleep because of this. Items replenished quickly when needed which is great. The team working there seemed very friendly and helpful. The first floor corridor for the entire of the stay smelled horrendous, which is odd because we seem cleaners up there every day. It was really bad, like a hot rotten garbage/trash smell which I'm sure we weren't the only people who could smell it. Breakfast was standard but nice. I'm more of a coffee drinker so having a bottomless cup was good. Here's where the real problem is for me. The lack of people working in the dining/bar area. For a woman to have to say to people "these things were not ordered but I can offer you this" it's absolutely disgusting. The manager or regional manager should be mortified that a hotel only has 1 person working at night to cook and serve drinks. We felt so bad for the lady who cooked us our pizza that we didn't have it in us to complain that the bass of the pizza was rock solid, that the chips tasted like freezer burn and that our nachos with melted cheese was cold and gross. This is the work of someone who's trying their hardest with so little they have. One night, we went in just for a drink, even that took 15 minutes to get because the woman was busy making meals for a table of 3, who could only do 1 meal at a time anyway so friends couldn't eat together, they had to wait 20 minutes per meal which meant the next few people who came in had to wait over an hour to get asked what they wanted and then had to wait a further 45 minutes to an hour for food. This surely goes against health and safety towards the team member working and it puts people off wanting food in the evening. I few occasions I watched people come in with KFC, McDonald's and their own beers, me and my wife being one of those people who had to go to McDonald's because we didn't want to wait for food. The dining experience at this specific travel lodge is awful at the night time. And for team members to have to use the excuse "I'm on my own" is ridiculous and management should be absolutely ashamed of this. Overall it was a sub par experience, I would only come again to use bathroom and shower as that was about all I enjoyed.

Excellent location, overlooking the Thames, excellent public transport , trains, & buses - all very frequent. Just 10 mins to Kew Gardens & excellent restaurants in Kew village. Whilst not pretending to be a 5 star hotel, rooms are clean, large beds, adequate shower rooms, towels, tea, coffee, kettle, TV - no hairdryers. Windows open, overlooking adjacent gardens. Reasonably quiet for a centrally located hotel. All you can eat, Breakfast is good value, well cooked, decent ingredients - fruit juices, machine made wide range of coffees, tea bags, cooked ingredients, mix of cereals, brown & white toast, selection of preserves, small bakery selection. Overall, excellent location, helpful, friendly staff, good value breakfast & accommodation. We'll definately stay again when visiting Kew.
