About Travelodge London Kings Cross Royal Scot
Two hundred and eleven rooms across six floors make Travelodge London Kings Cross Royal Scot a sizeable, no-frills base for the city, set on Kings Cross Road roughly nine minutes on foot from Kings Cross and St Pancras stations. Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks facilities, and accessible rooms are available; some travellers have found the decor a little tired and there's no air conditioning, so it's worth bearing that in mind if you're visiting in warmer months.
The hotel has its own restaurant and bar, with breakfast available on site, and 24-hour reception means arrivals at odd hours aren't a problem. Beds and general cleanliness have held up well according to those who've stayed, and staff are consistently described as helpful. Pets are welcome, and lift access covers all floors.
Chargeable parking is available on site via pay and display, with blue badge bays for accessible parking, useful if you're arriving by car rather than train. Beyond the hotel doors, the Kings Cross area offers plenty of nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment, making it a practical spot for exploring London on foot or heading straight into the rail network.

Checkin was fine and lifts actually work, though i'd stay away from the stairs if i were you, as they smell something awfull. We were here for two nights during the heatwave and they'd provided the two of us with a single fan and a window that was half closed of by a glass panell. There was no aircon. Better yet the window could only open abt 10cm, so what we had was only around 10x40cm. Something i overheard another man complain about as well. We had to ask twice for another fan. There was visible mould in bothbathroom and windowsill. There was no hairdryer or toiletbrush. We pid for free wifi, yet they did not provide it, so we had to go down and request it. Breakfast was passable if a bit stale (despite eating only around 20min after it opened). Though they did tell us it opened an hour later than it did, which would been to late for us at the time and so we had to go down and check that as well. We paid for a late check out, but ended up not needing it. Thats fine, my complaint is that they said they could take our luggage but when we got there they refused. When we then went back to our room we couldnt get in, and so had to go back down Again. Yeah, the pain this place will cost far outweighs the cost of the nearby premier inn or any other place you can think of. If you want an exersise in exhasperation and patience, as well as physical exercise of walking through long windy corridors that make no sense, going back and forth, only to complain several times over, you might just have found your dream hotell.

Unbearably hot with no air conditioning. Very expensive for an almost unusable room. I stayed at the end of a heatwave. I was on the sixth floor. The room was so hot, and even with two fans made for an uncomfortable night. The window barely opens so it doesn’t cool down. My fault for not checking about aircon before I booked, I stupidly assumed it would have it. For the price it was not good value for money. If you can, don’t book saver, I would have changed hotels if I could have. Travelodge is a bit like a cheap airline, every little extra costs more. The room was nicely decorated and clean but I would not stay again in the summer. It is a ten/fifteen minute walk from Kings Cross.

I have stayed here before as it’s reasonably priced for London. The rooms are basic but a good size. The bathroom is small and the shower could be better but was perfectly adequate. Decent sized towels. The hotel bar was decent. We didn’t eat here but had a drink and staff were chatty and friendly. Luggage drop is available but need to be early taking bags down - I took ours down (8am) before we checked out at 10.30am (checkout is decent til 12pm)

Just out for the night and the Royal Scott was ideally located 10 mins from the venue. Price was excellent, all we needed was a bed for the night. The room was warm (May heatwave) but there was a fan in the room that kept us cool overnight. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable Staff were all friendly, with pick of the bunch being Jonathan the manager on a breakfast. So friendly and welcoming and where we were sat we saw and heard him interacting with all manner of guests and he did so brilliantly without exception, made the morning breakfast a thoroughly enjoyable experience Good breakfast and again at a reasonable price where lots of hotels now seem to feel that they should charge like a rhino For a budget stay in Kings X, why go anywhere else
