About Arriva Hotel

For anyone passing through London on a rail-heavy itinerary, or keeping costs down without wanting to camp out on the edge of town, Arriva Hotel makes a practical choice. It sits on Swinton Street, close enough to King's Cross and St Pancras stations to make onward travel simple, whether that's a Eurostar connection or a train further afield.

The hotel has 75 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and free WiFi, and there's a lift for those who'd rather skip the stairs. Breakfast is served on-site, and there's a restaurant and bar for meals and drinks without having to head out. Guests can also make use of the gym, business services, concierge and porter assistance, and free on-site parking, which is a genuine convenience in this part of London. A garden and laundry service add a bit more practicality, and the hotel also hosts weddings.

Rooms are generally kept clean and staff are often described as friendly, though standards can be inconsistent, with occasional lapses in service and some rooms less well looked after than others. Outside the hotel, the surrounding streets have pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, and Chessington World of Adventures is within reach for a day trip. It suits travellers who want a central, no-fuss stay rather than a polished luxury break.

A solid stay and great value for money. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout, and while the hotel is showing its age in places, it was generally clean and well looked after. The location is convenient, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The only downside was that the walls seemed to be made of paper and the floors had a mind of their own - every footstep came with its own sound effects! No need to set a morning alarm, the building has that covered. 😁 Overall, a pleasant stay!

Stayed from Friday to sunday. Male reception staff on the Friday evening was incredibly rude, we seemed to be an inconvenience for him when we arrived. (Other staff members where polite) Rooms are small, shabby and in need of a good upgrade and decent decoration job. Bed was comfortable and sheets and towels clean. Location is great for kings cross and St pancras. It was OK for a budget friendly few days, but I'd probably safe a little to be able to book alternatives in the area in future.

best bang for your buck thankfully so affordable perfect for solo travelers or couples, in the perfect location less than a 10 min walk to kings cross. The staff is so incredibly friendly that was my fave part they are so friendly and helpful, there is a 24 hour front desk someone always there to help. and the rooms were so clean they were constantly doing housekeeping I was able to sleep in late and still come back later on to a clean room fresh linens and soaps I miss this place so much!
