About Thistle Piccadilly

Leicester Square and the theatres of the West End are only a short walk from Coventry Street, where Thistle Piccadilly makes its home. Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery are also within easy reach, making this a practical base for a few days of sightseeing and shows without relying on transport.

The hotel has 82 rooms across seven floors, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and free WiFi, though the air conditioning is not always dependable. Rooms are generally well kept and quieter than the busy street outside might suggest. A restaurant and bar are on site, breakfast is served each morning, and there's a gym, room service and concierge assistance for guests who need help planning their days out. Laundry service and luggage storage are also available.

Staff are consistently described as helpful, and the breakfast is a particular highlight for guests staying here. There's no parking at the property, so it suits those arriving on foot or by public transport, with plenty of pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby for evenings after the sights.

Perfect Location and Fantastic Stay! I recently stayed at the Thistle London Piccadilly and had a brilliant experience. You really cannot beat this location—it is right in the heart of the West End, making it incredibly easy to walk to Leicester Square, Regent Street, and various theatres. Despite being so central, the room was surprisingly quiet and provided a peaceful retreat after a busy day of exploring. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, ensuring the check-in process was smooth and efficient. My room was spotless, modern, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-notch stay in Central London. I will certainly be returning on my next visit!

This hotel was incredible for me on my one night trip to London to see a show at the Soho theatre 6 minutes walk away. The hotel is right in the centre of several key places to visit. Minutes walk to Soho, picadilly and Covent Garden. The staff were incredibly friendly. Nothing was too much bother. The breakfast was delicious. And my room had the most comfiest bed. The room had air con and heating so you could set the temp your self. This was great as I love a cool room to sleep in. The toiletries in the bathroom smelt divine and the shower was relaxing to use. If I had to say one down point was the toilet flush was hard to press down. But that’s if I’m being really picky! I am reccomending this to my friends and family as a place to stay when in London. Thank you Thistle Picadilly. I will be back :)

Our stay did not meet our expectations. The rooms were smaller than advertised, the wardrobe was far too small, and the bathroom was cramped and uncomfortable. We also had an issue with a clogged sink. The toilet flush button was extremely inconvenient and difficult to use — we practically broke our nails trying to press it. The furniture and overall room interior felt quite outdated and worn out. A major issue for us was also that the windows could not be opened at all, which made the room feel stuffy and uncomfortable. One of the biggest downsides was the noise. You could constantly hear both the elevator and the doors of the rooms and housekeeping areas. The doors are self-closing, and from the early morning hours, once cleaning started, there was nonstop slamming, which was very unpleasant. The reception staff were not particularly helpful or welcoming, which added to the disappointing experience. Breakfast was quite basic and lacked variety, although the restaurant staff were polite and friendly. The main advantage of the hotel is the excellent location — very close to Leicester Square and convenient for exploring central London.

The Thistle London Picadilly is a great value hotel in central London. The location is super central - close to high traffic stations like Picadilly, and walkable from the Elizabeth line if you're going to LHR. The lobby is nothing remarkable, but my room was very good - decent size, comfortable bed, bathroom was clean and felt new. I even got a view of the m&m store. Lastly, breakfast was actually really decent. You can get a full english breakfast, beans and all, plus things like cereals and yogurt and croissants. The Breakfast staff were warm and friendly. Really great value if you're looking to stay in the area!
