Arrived at the courthouse hotel 25/07 to find out there was no reservation. We had bought a voucher on Wowcher (never again). The duty manager was fantastic, offered advice and guidance and sorted us a room at a good rate. We were so grateful. Excellent customer service, fab hotel in a great location. We will definitely be back.

A Very Disappointing Experience – Nowhere Near a 5-Star Hotel I rarely leave negative reviews, but Courthouse Hotel London was such a disappointment that I felt compelled to share my experience. The hotel advertises itself as a 5-star property, yet the reality is far from what one would expect. What makes this even more frustrating is that the room rate was over £600 per night. At that price level, guests should expect a genuine luxury experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The room was tired, dated, and poorly maintained. There were chipped surfaces, damaged furniture, and signs of wear everywhere. Much of the room felt neglected and in desperate need of refurbishment. The overall atmosphere was stale and musty, which made the stay even less pleasant. Cleanliness was another major issue. Housekeeping standards were clearly not up to scratch, and the room did not feel properly cleaned. For a hotel claiming to be five-star, the lack of attention to detail was shocking. Another surprise was the complete absence of a minibar, something I would normally consider a basic amenity in a hotel positioning itself in the luxury segment. The breakfast was perhaps the biggest disappointment of all. The selection was limited, the quality was poor, and the overall experience felt closer to a budget hotel than a supposedly premium London property. There was nothing about it that justified either the hotel's rating or its room rates. What I find most puzzling is the number of 5-star reviews. I genuinely struggle to understand how anyone could rate this hotel five stars in its current condition. Based on the room quality, cleanliness, maintenance standards, facilities, and breakfast offering, my experience was completely at odds with those reviews. It honestly makes me wonder whether we stayed at the same hotel. For more than £600 per night, guests should expect immaculate rooms, excellent service, well-maintained facilities, and a high-quality breakfast. Courthouse Hotel delivered none of these. There are many significantly better hotels in London at the same price point. Courthouse Hotel may once have deserved its reputation, but today it feels tired, poorly maintained, and nowhere near the standard it claims to offer. I would not stay here again and certainly would not recommend it to anyone looking for a genuine 5-star hotel experience in London.

Excellent hotel, great location, room very comfortable. All staff are very helpful and super friendly. I especially enjoyed the breakfast as it was the best I’ve had in many of the London hotels I’ve stayed in. Also, the gentleman named Ramadan at breakfast was especially courteous and super helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

Hi, My wife and I have just had a wonderful Virgin Experiance cake and sandwich lunch at Soho Wala London. The food and service has been excellent. Ramadan the waiter is a great advert for both the restaurant and Virgin. Helpful, considerate and really happy . Regards mr and mrs rook

People say this hotel is a great venue for events, with a cozy cinema and excellent canapés, and guests often praise the friendly, helpful staff and delicious afternoon tea.

Other reviews mention the rooms can be poorly maintained and outdated.
