Visited 02/04/2026 - Absolutely incredible Thursday evening in here, stopped in on a walk from Canada Water and decided to stay for the rest of the afternoon. The waitresses Eleanor and Izzy were welcoming and a pleasure to talk to, they even gave me a history lesson on the pub itself. Welcoming everyone in and recognising quite a few regulars they were great company. Plenty on tap and the food looked incredible - the place was full but not overwhelmed with a spread of people from locals/students/old and young. I met half a dozen people from construction workers to New Zealanders and we exchanged pints till it got dark but the conversation never dried up. I hope to visit back when I can!

Monday night 50% off mains what a find. Loved the flat iron steak. Was delicious. Perfect hot and crispy chippies too. Dressed nice sauce on rocket. Usually i hate it but it was lovely with the dressing. The sweet potato vego curry is very nice too and went well as a shared main to complement the steaks. Loved our meal. Nice and friendly service. Charming atmosphere. A few nice seating private nooks too. Lit candles adds warmth and cosiness. Do recommend. Great value.

We’re Italians and this is one of the best pubs we’ve tried in England. Warm atmosphere, friendly staff, great beer, and delicious traditional food. Everything was fresh, well-served, and full of flavour. A place we’d happily return to — highly recommended!

Went there for a Sunday roast to catch up with friends. The four of us got to each try out one of the roast options and they were all very good and for good/fair prices. They also have a little quiet outdoors area under the trees which make for a great Sunday lunch spot! Ps: Personal favorite would be the half chicken.
