About Rock Point

Broad Street runs down to the seafront in Lyme Regis, and Rock Point sits right at the water's edge, close to the harbour walls and the fossil-studded coastline that gives this stretch of Dorset its name. Sea views feature throughout much of the property, taking in the bay and the terrace below.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in-room, and free WiFi, with many looking straight out over the water. Beds and housekeeping are consistently well kept. Downstairs, the restaurant and bar serve hearty pub food built around fresh seafood, a Sunday roast, and fish and chips, with gluten-free options catered for and kids' meals on the menu too. Staff are attentive, and dogs are made welcome, whether guests are eating inside or out on the terrace.

Breakfast is included, and 24-hour reception means arrival times are flexible. Beyond the front door, Lyme Regis offers walking and cycling routes along the coast, fishing and watersports, a golf course nearby, and further pubs and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out.

We walked in after a full day on the beach with two hungry young children. All tables were booked but we were told if we waiting they would try and accommodate us. The staff were amazing, food was perfect and very reasonably priced. Special shout out to Nathan who really went above and beyond for us and was brilliant with the boys. Thank you so much for a fantatsic time, we will definitely be back!

Came here for a meal, and it was great. Views were brill looking out over the sea, good was tasty and arrived in good time. Staff were helpful and the whole place had good vibe. Only downside was some rather stubburn seaguls and wasps. But worth it for the food. Good drinks selection too

Fantastic food with fantastic service!! Two little points… 1) use a bigger font size on the menu, and 2) add Devon Red to the cider options. Totally recommend the nduja arancini and the steak and ale pie - both banging 😊

Gorgeous setting with beautiful views and the perfect place to spend a lovely evening. Our group had three different dietary requirements, and everyone was really happy with their meal. My vegan Laksa curry was absolutely delicious. What particularly impressed me was that it came with a choice of chicken or roasted vegetables. As a vegan, this rarely happens - more often than not, restaurants simply remove ingredients rather than thoughtfully replacing them with something equally delicious. I was genuinely delighted. Experiences like this remind me that creating great vegan food is rarely about the ingredients themselves - it’s usually about imagination. This kitchen clearly has plenty of it, and it made all the difference.
