Room at the Inn occupies a characterful old building on Broad Street, right in the heart of Lyme Regis. This is an adults-only hotel, which lends it a quieter, more settled atmosphere than you'd find in a typical seaside stay, with en-suite rooms and drinks available to enjoy at your leisure.

Pubs, restaurants and entertainment are all close at hand, and watersports can be arranged locally for those wanting to get out on the water.

We booked this hotel in Lyme Regis for my birthday and were excited to spend a special weekend together, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. We understand that some noise from the pub is to be expected, but at 1am my partner politely asked if the volume could be reduced. The receptionist's response was rude and dismissive, simply saying, "It's Saturday, this is normal." When guests are paying for a room, they deserve to be treated with respect and consideration. The noise continued until around 2am and we hardly slept at all. Sadly, we will not be returning. At the same time, our son was staying at The Mariners Hotel nearby, where the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. It was quieter, had a lovely fireplace atmosphere, offered better quality, and was even cheaper.

Quirky and charming room above a pub. Friendly staff, convenient location. As per the website's description, it is a noisy place to stay - you won't get a good night's sleep without earplugs! However, the room is nicely laid out with a sofa, benches in the bay window, and a tiny en suite bathroom. There's a good selection of hot drinks in the bar in the corner of the room, and there was complimentary Prosecco and water in the (noisy!) mini fridge. The kitchen was closed when we stayed (over New Year), so we ate just down the street at Lilac, which was fantastic.

Lovely stay, just what we expected from a room over an inn. You might need earplugs but it's worth for the good service, atmosphere and great location of the pub. Will definitly visit this place again.

Pretty good value room above a pub. Easy check in and out, fantastic location in the heart of Lyme, half way up the High St within easy reach if everything.
