About Vinegar Hill Pottery B & B
A pottery gives Vinegar Hill Pottery B & B its name and its character, tucked away in Lymington, Hampshire, with only three rooms to let. That small scale means a quieter, more personal stay than you'd get at a larger hotel, with breakfast included each morning to set you up for the day.
Each room comes with its own en-suite bathroom and free WiFi, and reception is available around the clock for whenever you arrive or need anything. Free on-site parking is provided, which is useful given the rural setting away from a town centre. Fishing, cycling, watersports and walking routes are all within reach nearby, and there are pubs, bars and restaurants close by for evenings out.
Paultons Park is a notable local point of interest for those travelling with family, while New Milton lies a short drive away for further exploring. It's a straightforward base for a New Forest or Lymington visit, built around a genuine pottery setting rather than a generic hotel format.

Had a fantastic three days at the pottery doing the Raku course with family Dave is very enthusiastic tutor and great fun to work with. Very patient and encouraging The food provided was delicious Highly recommended as something to do for a weekend. Met a bunch of lovely people on the course. We stayed locally (which is why no stars) but the gypsy caravans looked a fun place to stay

Came for the 3 day Raku weekend. Stayed in the lovely Gypsy Caravan (very cosy!). The course was amazing, expert tuition by Dave, really brought my throwing skills on. There was a mixture of experience amongst the students, and everyone produced lovely pieces. The last day was Raku firing out pieces and we ended up with some incredible pieces! Plus we get to have our stoneware pieces fired and delivered/collected so more pottery treasures await ☺️ We were served an amazing lunch each day, and Milford on Sea has some great restaurants for the evening. I wholeheartedly recommend the place, both as a pottery experience and as a lovely getaway.

I had the most wonderful weekend at Vinegar Hill. Dave's teaching was exceptional - patient, clear and encouraging - and I’ve come away feeling genuinely confident with both throwing and centring for the first time. The raku session was an absolute highlight. Watching the pieces transform in the firing was magical, and I’m thrilled with the effects we created. It’s left me feeling inspired and very eager to learn more. A huge thank you to the team for such a memorable, welcoming and beautifully run workshop. I’ll definitely be back.

Thank you and your team of elves so much for a really great fun weekend of throwing and firing. Our pots are sitting in the sun on a windowsill looking resplendent and get shown to anyone who visits! We really loved the way you had structured the course so that we got to try everything and go away with something at the end of it. Also your tuition was excellent and the catering was wonderful!
