We arrived at opening time and was able to see the animals morning feed. They were waiting patiently. A good range of animals but the best for me was Abou, a Shoebill, who I could watch all day. Otters came a close second. There's a nice play area for the kids. A cafe and gift shop as per usual. The staff around the zoo were friendly and helpful, no question was too much. I've been before so did not attend any talks but when I did they were always good and interactive for those that want. A good visit.

We had a brilliant time here. They have some really unusual animals they are supporting. The enclosures are a good effort to the natural environment. You can get very close to the animals through viewing windows. Some enclosures appeared to be empty. The paths are quite steep and rough terrain so be wary if pushchairs and wheelchairs. Plenty of seats and picnic areas. It could be described as a bit scruffy but that made it more appealing in a way. Worth the 20 pounds entrance we felt. Nice play area, small cafe but we had taken a picnic. Overall well worth a couple of hours visit.

Our most enjoyable zoo day out. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The layout is cosy and encourages you to explore. The enclosures are designed well so you can actually see them, there was only one or two animals which we couldn't see.

Exmoor zoo was extremely fun. One of the best zoo’s me and the wife have been too. There are many different animals and amazing viewing points that are usually highly limited due to distance. My personal favourite was the Exmoor beast, the panther had a lot of energy and was fun to play around with. They have raised platforms you can view the animals from and viewing panels straight into the enclosures. The cafe is pretty decent, we had some nachos that were pretty, a sausage roll and some ice creams. They are limited although the pricing is reasonable. I can’t say the same for the shop though, the prices of toys etc are very high.

People say this zoo offers a wide variety of animals, including big cats, birds, and unusual species like the shoebill and clouded leopard. They highlight the reasonable entrance fee, the well-maintained enclosures, and the informative talks and feeding sessions. They also like the friendly and knowledgeable staff, the large play area, and the picnic spots.
