Southcliffe is a Grade II listed Victorian guest house on Lee Road in Lynton, built in the late 1800s and preserved with much of its original character intact. It is one of a run of similar townhouses along the road that formed the backbone of Lynton's Victorian holiday accommodation.

We spent a week at Southcliffe House in Lynton and had an enjoyable stay. We stayed in the Turret room which was beautifully decorated with everything we could want. The bed was especially comfortable. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and we tried a few dishes from the menu. Food was freshly cooked and of excellent quality. Stuart and James were warm and welcoming hosts and made us feel at home. The location of Southcliffe House is ideal for exploring the local area.

Guesthouse Perfection!! Absolutely everything about Southcliffe is perfect. Lynton and Lynmouth are very special places with spectacular scenery on the doorstep. The walk to valley of the rocks via the coast path is stunning at sunset. James and Stuart’s attention to detail and care they put into every aspect of Southcliffe is above and beyond expectations. Thank you both for a wonderful stay.

Beautifully decorated and spotless rooms. Hosts were extremely accommodating and friendly, allowing flexibility with our check in time. Breakfast was everything you would want and was cooked perfectly. Absolutely no faults and could not recommend this B&B enough and was amazing value for money!

Only stayed one night but it was an absolutely lovely stay. Friendly welcome. Very helpful with our bikes, clean room, comfy bed and the most delicious breakfast!! Beautiful place with nice places to eat and plenty to do and see nearby
