About St Vincent Guest House
St Vincent Guest House occupies one of Lynton's most notable Grade II listed buildings, a Georgian house built in 1834 by master mariner Thomas Geen and full of the character of the town's original Victorian holiday trade. The house sits on Market Street in the centre of Lynton, close to shops, the cinema, and the top station of the cliff railway.
Rooms retain much of the building's period detail while offering modern comforts, and the guest house offers free parking and wifi, with evening meals available by arrangement for residents who prefer not to head out after a day's walking.
Its central position, two minutes from the South West Coast Path where it passes between Lynton and Lynmouth, makes St Vincent a practical, well-placed base for walkers exploring both the coast and the Valley of the Rocks.

We stayed at St. Vincent Guest House while walking the South West Coast Path. The room was clean and comfortable. Nothing was lacking. Maria met us on arrival and was helpful in the information about any questions we had and happy to give recommendations and suggestions. The breakfast was excellent plentiful and tasty. Maria was engaging and chatty. The property had three character cats and at least a visitor cat. There were plenty of eating options nearby. We had excellent tapas at Royal Oak. Overall highly recommended overnight stop experience.

We absolutely loved staying at St Vincent guest house. The room was clean and comfortable, the location is excellent, and above all Maria and Clive are amazing hosts. Their service is excellent, with great attention to detail. The breakfast too was great. We also definitely recommend the packed lunch option, really convenient and great value for money!

Lovely 5 night stay following short notice booking ! Maria and Clive were great hosts and nothing was too much to ask! Breakfasts were fabulous and plentiful ….especially Clive’s legendary fry ups ! Still trying to do our walks in our 60’s, our calves were hurting but Lynton is lovely village as is Lynmouth and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay …. and hopefully will return again one day! Thank you guys! Ps - the wife said to mention the selection of biscuits supplied in our room but I was more interested in the array of real ales in the Crown PH !! 🤓

We had a lovely 2 night stay here with our dog Flora. It was clean and comfortable and the hosts were lovely. Clive cooked great breakfasts and Maria added the tea, cereal and toast along with her own chatty helpfulness to the day. Blenheim was a beautiful bedroom with everything we needed and more. There was nearby free parking and pretty garden views from our room. One of the best guest houses we have stayed in and definitely worth a return visit. Nothing was too much trouble for these hosts and they actually seem to like people which is a plus for a hotelier but not always the norm. We were only sorry to have not known been able to sample the Sunday roasts or evening meals......this time.
