About Delta Hotels Worsley Park Country Club by Marriott
A substantial four-storey building set within its own country club grounds on Walkden Road, Delta Hotels Worsley Park Country Club by Marriott brings together golf, spa and leisure facilities under one roof near Manchester. With 158 rooms, it's built for both quiet stays and larger gatherings, including weddings and meetings, with lift access throughout and free on-site parking.
Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and air conditioning, though some are showing their age rather than feeling freshly refurbished. Facilities extend to a gym, spa and sauna, an indoor swimming pool, and a restaurant and bar serving a wide breakfast spread alongside room service. Business services and meeting rooms make it a practical choice for work trips, while family rooms and drinks in room cover more relaxed visits. An electric vehicle charge point and free WiFi are also on hand.
The championship golf course is the standout draw, with staff on hand to help guests make the most of it and of the wider area. Pubs, restaurants and entertainment are all within reach nearby, and the hotel's grounds provide plenty of space to unwind before or after exploring Manchester itself.
What guests say
Myself as part of a group of mixed golfers, 48 in total have enjoyed the beautiful golf course on two consecutive days. The whole experience was seamless with the Tempo bar staff, cast Iron grill staff and reception staff providing an exemplary service. Additionally having made a mistake with the room booking I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded rather than be subjected to a stay in a single room. The catering staff accommodated a large group coming into dine in late with no fuss and were very welcoming. We have all agreed the accommodation and golf course made this an exceptional experience for us all and we will return at some point. Thank you😊

Beautiful gardens, majestic Beech and Sycamore trees and a very tranquil location with gorgeously maintained flowers. Staff are really friendly, helpful, down to earth and welcoming. Visited with my young family and did not disappoint. Could play in the pool every day, had a daily generous hearty breakfast, and ate in the lovely restaurant too. Parking spaces are fairly tight and can get busy if the golf or an event is on, but would stay here again when visiting Manchester as it has a good atmosphere. The fruit and vegetable flavoured water an added bonus! Thank you for a lovely stay.

We chose this hotel for our wedding day because of its beautiful location and elegant appearance. The hotel itself is lovely, and the setting is perfect for such a special occasion. However, we were extremely disappointed by the lack of basic amenities. Paying around £500 for a suite, we expected a much higher standard of comfort. The room had no air conditioning, and there was no extractor fan in the bathroom. As a result, the suite became unbearably hot, and we were sweating throughout the day while getting ready in our wedding attire. For a hotel that promotes itself as a luxury destination, these are essential facilities that should be provided. Unfortunately, the experience did not justify the price we paid. In hindsight, we would have preferred to stay at a less luxurious hotel that offered the basic comforts expected for such an important day.

Lauren was really helpful when booking as she held two rooms for us that had the walk in shower! Amy on the front desk was also very friendly. Clean comfortable rooms on beautiful grounds. Location was ideal for our trip so no complaints there at all. The gym was also fantastic, definitely one of the better ones I've used. Disappointing that we were forced to check in late because our room wasn't ready - I didn't request an early check in (even as Marriott gold) so it was surprising that some of our party had to wait half an hour to have access to our room. We had one room for two nights and at 11am, I asked for housekeeping to arrive at 2pm. They arrived after 4pm. I added breakfast for one person and was told it was £18.50 even though check in desk staff said it was £15. It wasn't great either as staff stopped topping up food 20 mins before closing and there were not many vegetarian options (and no halal ones either). The manager at check in was also not the friendliest - I was coordinating three rooms as part of our booking and would often use the messaging feature on the app before we arrived. When I checked in, he said I was a keyboard warrior (I think he was trying to be funny so no malice intended I'm sure). He also said they must answer the phone within 4 minutes so it seemed me messaging and then deciding to call the hotel was an inconvenience to him, when really I was just trying to help them out and deal with a query over the phone instead of messaging!
