About The Waterside Bar Rooms & Restaurant
Greater Manchester's waterways form the backdrop to The Waterside Bar Rooms & Restaurant, a hotel on Parrin Lane built around a canalside setting that shapes the whole stay. The refurbished pub interior keeps an open fire for cooler evenings, while the terrace looks out over the water and makes a natural spot for a drink when the weather allows.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi and drinks available in room, with 24 hour reception on hand and business services for those working while away. The restaurant serves hot-stone dishes alongside the bar menu, and free on-site parking makes arriving straightforward.
Beyond the canal itself, the area offers walking routes, watersports and a golf course nearby, plus further pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy reach. Pets are welcome, making it a practical base for exploring Manchester without giving up home comforts.

Lovely setting with live music. Perfect for a sunny, Sunday afternoon. Food was lovely but because we ate outside, we had to have our starters served at the same time as our main meal, not ideal. Had a lovely time. Worth a visit but advised to book as it's a popular spot.

Really lovely here. Food delicious. Staff are really good. The restaurant is in a lovely position next to the canal. Lots of tables to sit outside on a nice day.

First of all let me start by saying the staff here were amazing, so friendly and timely with requests. That goes for the bar staff too, it was very busy but they really were happy to help. Unfortunately, my main issue was with my main, as the prawn melon cocktail was delicious. I had the salt and pepper chicken, please revise how you serve this, it was soooo dry. When I pre-ordered I was expecting real chicken with skin, and peppers and onions in abundance. Unfortunately it was frozen battered chunks identical to what you get in Iceland, with only 4 pieces of red pepper and 4 strands of onion and a a sauce bowl which only had enough sauce to cover two or three chunks. My daughter had the salt and pepper chicken wings and they were amazing, absolutely lathered in sauce and peppers , how come you don't serve the main that way? The rice was al dente and too firm. Beautiful venue and amazing staff but the day was let down by that main. A shame as I'd been looking forward to it all week.

Sat on the exterior area and it was really nice by the river. Good selection of food and beers/ciders. The mains were on the expensive side and I am not quite sure why. Had some starters and pizza on relatively reasonable prices and they were quite tasty for a pub. I would recommend it overall except the food prices.
