About Didsbury House
Didsbury House is a Victorian villa on Didsbury Park, converted into a small hotel and run alongside its sister property Eleven Didsbury Park a short walk away. The building keeps its original proportions — stained glass on the staircase, high ceilings, deep bay windows — and the conversion has added contemporary bathrooms and lighting without stripping the character out of it.
There are 27 bedrooms across six categories, from compact Snug Rooms up to Luxe Junior Suites, the Boudoir Suite and the Opus Loft Suite under the roof. Each is designed individually, so it is worth looking at the room types rather than booking blind; the loft suites in particular have unusual shapes and considerably more space. Free parking for residents is included, which is a real advantage over anything in the centre, and there are electric vehicle chargers nearby.
Public spaces include a residents-only bar, several lounges, a breakfast room, a board room and The Den, plus a Victorian walled terrace that comes into its own in summer. Breakfast is cooked to order. The setting is the reason to choose it: Didsbury Village is a five-minute walk with its pubs, delis and restaurants, Fletcher Moss Botanical Gardens and the Mersey water park are close by, and both the city centre and Manchester Airport are around fifteen minutes' drive. The Metrolink tram from East Didsbury runs into St Peter's Square if you would rather not drive.

Attended a breakfast meeting. A lovely venue, the breakfast offering was lovely. Green smoothie and fruit kebabs were the vegan options and delicious. Also had oatmilk on the table which was appreciated. Very peaceful and opulent. Just one suggestion. It'd be lovely to see genderless bathrooms for not only for inclusivity reasons but also because there were only three 'womens' toilets and we were queuing up the stairs, which was difficult to navigate up the narrow stairs case.

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding here in March! This venue is in a fantastic location and it has such a metropolitan feel to it. There's something about getting married in a venue that's a stones throw away from one of the busiest cities in the country, then walking to the reception that feels so chic! I absolutely love it. It's also a good time for the couple to have their moment just the two of them en route to the reception. There is an incredible amount of detail put into the venue. Every space is filled with interested decor and there's not a dull wall anywhere! It feels like I'm in an art gallery and the outside is just as gorgeous. The house is a gorgeous setting for couple photos and did family photos in the gardens at the reception. Despite it being in Manchester( a typically busy city) this venue feels fun and relaxing, and it's absolutely beautiful too.

A really great place to stay. Fab suite with extremely comfortable, roomy bed, pure cotton bedlinen, comfy pillows, tasteful décor. Nice and quiet. We were attending an afternoon wedding locally so when we arrived we had an excellent bar snack, £10 for generous open toasted sandwich on sourdough accompanied by delicious salad and very tasty, crispy chips. The wedding breakfast itself was all delicious - perfectly-cooked sirloin beef, Yorkshire pud and veg. All agreed the beef gravy was the best ever! It had been preceded by artfully presented and tasty canapés, and the stout sticky toffee pudding and ice cream the perfect ending. Breakfast the next morning was also first-rate, with plenty to choose from and all beautifully cooked to order. We enjoyed Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon/omelette, then wonderful light, crispy croissants. A great venue for overnight or longer stays, or weddings. We'd happily visit again.

We recently had our wedding at Didsbury House and I can honestly say it was amazing. From the first meeting with Jenny, the team they have were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. We wanted it to feel like a big house party and that’s exactly how it was. The venue is immaculate and the food and service were excellent, can’t recommend them enough. A few of us have hotel backgrounds so we are a tough crowd to please but can honestly say we couldn’t fault it. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make our day so special.
