About Travelodge Manchester Didsbury

A pub and a handful of restaurants sit within easy reach of Travelodge Manchester Didsbury, making it a straightforward base for an evening meal without needing a car, though the hotel itself keeps things simple with drinks available in the room rather than a full dining setup on site.

The hotel has 75 rooms spread across four floors, all with en-suite bathrooms, and beds and room cleanliness are consistently the strongest part of the stay. A lift serves all floors, and pets are welcome for those travelling with animals. Free on-site parking is available, though it works on a first-come, first-served basis, so early arrival helps, and there's an electric vehicle charge point for those who need it. Some guests have found noise travels between rooms, and prices can climb at busier times, so it's worth booking with that in mind.

Set on the A34 Kingsway, the location gives quick access to the M60 and into central Manchester, with East Didsbury's Metrolink stop nearby for those heading into town without driving. A golf course and other entertainment options are within reach too, making this a practical stop for both business and leisure visits.

Good basic hotel amenities. Bathtub had a brown stain which seemed like rust on closer inspection but from a quick glance you would have thought it was something else. Otherwise, the rooms were pristine. Beds are comfortable and windows had good soundproofing because we did not realise we were next to a busy main road! No air conditioning so may get a little warm in the night if you run hot. Good value for money. Free parking onsite. Well connected to town centre.

The stay was great, but I especially want to thank the kind staff at Didsbury Travelodge who went out of their way to help return some belongings I accidentally left in the hotel. It was excellent service and I’m very grateful to them for taking the time.

Location is amazing, right next to the tram into central Manchester. would not advise solo travellers to visit. Front desk clerk announced my room number when another guest was waiting behind me to check in, and there is no way to deadbolt the rooms from inside. Reception was often unattended when I walked past and when I did have a question it was clear that mostly receptionists were in the office, not used to managing guests. I was glad to be able to choose to book third floor away from the road, but the road noise was still intense all through the night so would suggest earplugs. Room temperature was very cool for time of year, coupled with the thin blankets this made it difficult to be warm enough to sleep and I wound up sleeping in joggers and warming socks both nights of my stay. Unlikely to visit this travellodge again despite its 10/10 location.

Great value and very clean. Lad checking people in was very nice too. Can easily say that was best value for a hotel I've booked.
