About Holiday Inn Express Manchester City Centre

Rooms at Holiday Inn Express Manchester City Centre come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and drinks available in-room, spread across 147 rooms on 12 floors. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available, and while most are kept to a decent standard, some rooms show signs of wear and the air conditioning does not always keep pace on warmer days.

Breakfast is included, and there is a bar and snack bar on site for guests who would rather stay in than head out. Free WiFi runs throughout, and practical extras such as a lift, luggage storage and laundry service make it an easy base for both short stays and longer trips. There is no parking available at the property.

The Oxford Road address puts guests close to Deansgate, with restaurants, pubs and bars, entertainment and a golf course all within reach nearby. It is a straightforward, well-placed choice for exploring Manchester city centre without frills.

Definitely better than average. Represents good value. Rooms are well laid out, modern and have everything you need. Beds are standard doubles and reasonably firm. The bathroom is still appointed with a large shower. The hotel is still located. Within walking distance of the University, shops and eating places. The breakfast, however, is decidedly average. Items at breakfast room or and are not refreshed. The coffee is also poor.

I have visited this hotel times two years ago and once again recently. While there are several reasons I chose to return, I have encountered the same persistent problems that make for an uncomfortable stay. The Positives: • Fantastic Location: It is very close to the city center, roughly a 10–15 minute walk. • Convenience: There is a 24-hour supermarket right next door which is incredibly helpful. • Great Staff: The reception team is very attentive and welcoming. • Value: The breakfast is modest, but the price of the stay is very good compared to other nearby hotels. The Problems: Unfortunately, the room functionality is lacking and has not improved over the years: 1. Air Conditioning & Ventilation: The windows do not open, leaving you completely dependent on the AC. However, the AC rarely works or is frequently switched off. Furthermore, the unit is poorly positioned near the bathroom above the entrance door; even when the fan is turned on, the air flow does not reach the bed. There is no way to adjust the temperature effectively. 2. Electrical Issues: Every USB port in the room was broken, which is a significant inconvenience for modern travelers. Verdict: The hotel has great potential due to its location and staff, but the lack of air circulation and broken room features make it hard to fully enjoy the stay. I hope management addresses these maintenance issues soon.

The location to be honest was perfect there were supermarket around the corner that open24/7 . The hotel staff most of them was nice and friendly. We had an incident in the room, but bf got so sick, the staff we asked for help was nice enough to do the best she can with bringing new towels and trsh bag at around 10pm. By that time the housekeeper was gone, so im ThankFul. but this incident made me realize how dirty and dusty the bathroom were. I had to clean up our mess, but ending up wiping all the dirtiness that were not cleaned before we came to. So i did gave the hotel a deep clean of the bathroom after all. it was spotless honestly, lol. Breakfast was basic. The rest was ok. One thing to keep in mind, for whoever planning to store lugggage at the store room. You can but only within a day, you can't keep it overnight. So what we did was find a storage nearby to keep it overnight while we were aways for 2 days and then back to Manchester. Over all it was ok, location was the best thing here, and the staff who was kind was the 2nd best thing.

Remarkably, this hotel gets it & most definitely rates as a disruptor in the accommodation market. Where almost everywhere else is charging more for less, this hotel breaks the mold!. A surprising & pleasant experience which I think should be the standard. Tea, coffee & hot chocolate available 24 hours, a microwave is available for guest use & there is an included hot breakfast- which matches, if not exceeds the quality of others who charge a significant levy for the privilege. The room is large & comfortable, although for me, mattress comfort is just adequate and meant a disturbed sleep. This seems to be not at all unusual in the UK and others may be more used to these comfort levels. A mattress topper would make a huge difference. Room service is attentive and available daily, if you need it. External noise insulation is adequate - if others guests are respectful and don't slam their door constantly!-(sadly a big if, in many hotels)... Oxford Street station is almost next door ( maybe 5 minutes walk) & should be your preferred station for the hotel. It is about a 15 minute walk to the lively city centre & Piccadilly station.. Good value and highly recommended in this price range. Many thanks!
