About Lower Turks Head
Shudehill sits right on the edge of the Northern Quarter, one of Manchester's busiest and most characterful corners, and Lower Turks Head occupies a spot in the thick of it. This is a hotel built around a proper pub, with a bar downstairs pouring a solid range of Holts beers and cask ales to a mix of locals and overnight guests, all set in a traditional, cosy room with plenty of places to sit, even if some of the seating arrangement can feel a bit haphazard.
Rooms are en-suite with free WiFi and drinks available in-room, and reception is staffed around the clock, so late arrivals after a night exploring the Northern Quarter are no trouble. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and for a city-centre address the rates are considered good value.
Parking is available near the hotel, useful given the central location, and there's no shortage of things to do close by, with restaurants, other pubs and bars, and entertainment venues all within easy reach, alongside golf and watersports facilities further afield for those wanting to venture out of town.

Stayed here last night before going to the Co-op live for the one night . We arrived to a very busy pub due to Man City playing at home . I approached a man collecting glasses and straight away he took me to be served and we checked in smoothly and was shown our room . Top class service , couldn’t have asked for more from the staff. The room was not what we was expecting at all. It had just had a refurb and was lovely and modern. They have even included usb plug sockets. It was really clean , very comfortable and quiet. Literally couldn’t hear a sound inside the room all night . You get a fob to come and go as you like through the entrance. It’s prime location right by the trams and the Arndale shopping centre over the road .There’s so many food places and pubs literally in walking distance too . I’ve paid more money for a lot less than this place offers and if we ever come back to Manchester I will book without looking anywhere else . Only downside is the lack of parking and the cost of parking in the city but it’s to be expected . Great job Lower Turks Head :)

People say this pub offers a great selection of Holts beers, including cask ales, and features a traditional, cozy atmosphere with plenty of seating. They also highlight the friendly and welcoming staff, excellent service, and good value for city center prices.
Some reviews mention the seating can be odd.
