About Premier Inn Manchester Swinton
Golf, fishing and horse riding are all within reach of Premier Inn Manchester Swinton, and the M60 puts Manchester and Salford within easy driving distance too, making this a practical base whether you're here for business or exploring the wider area. Locally there are pubs, bars and restaurants to walk to as well, so evenings don't have to mean staying in.
The hotel itself is a modern, no-frills stay with 31 rooms spread across two floors, including family options and accessible rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and drinks available in-room. Reception operates around the clock, which suits early starts or late arrivals off the motorway.
An on-site restaurant and bar covers breakfast and evening meals without needing to leave the building, and free parking is provided directly in front of the hotel. It's a straightforward, dependable option rather than a destination in itself, with the basics well covered and Manchester's attractions just a short drive away.
What guests say
On arrival there is plenty of parking. Receptionist was extremely helpful with a problem concerning the office booking of my room. The room was clean and tidy. A bit of mould in the sealant. Shower was hot with a strong supply of water. 3 double plug sockets, however none near the bed. Everything in the room was working. There was soap, shower gel, a kettle and some complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant so no breakfast, however the pub next door serves nice meals but not open early enough for breakfast.

I booked this hotel for one night while working nearby. I arrived at 14:30 and was asked to pay £15 for early check-in or wait until 3pm. I understand I was early, but this hasn’t usually been an issue at other hotels, including most Premier Inns I’ve stayed at, so I declined and went to the pub next door for a coffee. When I checked in at 3pm, the room smelled strongly of sewage and excrement. I tried to open the window but it was stuck and wouldn't open. As I was only dropping my bags before heading out, I hoped the smell would clear before I got back, but when I returned at 1am it was still there. The next morning I noticed several other issues in the room, with broken fixtures and dirty marks, including dried brown marks on the shower dial which meant I couldn’t use the shower - not sure if this was part of the smell! Overall the room felt grotty and well below usual Premier Inn standards. I mentioned it on the way out and just got a 'thanks for telling us'. Customer services said they couldn’t help because I hadn’t reported it to reception at 1am, so hadn't given them a chance to rectify it.

Rooms looking bit tired but spotless. About 15 mins outside centre of Manchester so won't suit everyone. No restaurant but pub next door serve food. Serve brekkie (think only weekends & not the best tbh). Staff on reception always lovely and so helpful.

Attending a birthday party in the area it was essential to have a hotel nearby so we didn't have to travel home. We like booking a Premier Inn due to consistency of knowing what to expect. The rooms are what we want for a short stay with all the essentials we need and this time we received a lovely note from the staff with two hot chocolate sachets. Due to that welcome we returned the favour leaving two bottles of booze that we didn't consume. Good location and polite welcoming friendly staff with easy access to the motorway and Manchester city centre.
