About Residence Inn Manchester Piccadilly by Marriott

Every one of the 155 rooms at Residence Inn Manchester Piccadilly by Marriott comes with its own kitchen, making this a hotel built for longer stays as much as overnight ones. Spread across 12 floors on Laystall Street, it puts guests within easy reach of Ancoats and the Northern Quarter, with Piccadilly Station close enough to be genuinely convenient for onward travel.

Rooms are spacious and kept clean, with comfortable beds, air conditioning and kitchenettes that let guests store food and make their own meals rather than relying solely on room service. A complimentary breakfast is included, and the on-site bar, gym and outdoor seating area round out the practical amenities. Business travellers are covered too, with meeting rooms and concierge services on hand, and pets are welcome for those travelling with animals. Some guests have noted construction noise reaching the rooms, worth bearing in mind if a quiet stay is the priority.

Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, useful for anyone wanting recommendations on where to eat or what to see nearby. There's no parking available on site, so those arriving by car should plan accordingly, but the location near restaurants, pubs and entertainment in the surrounding streets makes it easy to explore Manchester on foot.

You are better off getting breakfast at Wetherspoons than getting breakfast here! According to the staff the manager Simon makes the rule about what to serve and what not to serve. We basically got some pre-made Scramble eggs and some white breads which appears to be from Poundland or Iceland. Absolutely terrible. Not up to Marriott standards for sure! The staff said that it was because Simon considers the Breakfast to be complementary ( well even Premier Inn offers complementary breakfast but they offer everything you will expect from an English Breakfast) not good. A real disappointment here! The room was nice and the place is nice, location is good! But they need a new manager.

Helpful staff. Overall good standard Marriott experience. Only drawback was that No hotel Parking availably. City parking is an inconvenient distance away (with bags, kids, rain… bad idea). Also, discount for Marriott customers did not work (no staff on weekends to help) . Hotel staff could not do much.

Brilliant find. Exceptionally well priced and great breakfast choices. Only a short walk from Piccadilly and Chinatown. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room had everything we needed along with a very comfortable bed.

Receptionist was very welcoming and kind. 10/10 for cleanliness. Fantastically spacious for families, we were able to have the pushchair in the apartment open didn't have to fold it down. Location 10/10. Breakfast for everyone bonus.
