A lovely free afternoon out. Throughly enjoyed walking around the castle on such a peaceful sunny afternoon. Afterwards visited the church and had tea and cake where the proceeds are raising funds for the building of inside toilets which is a worthy cause.

Stunning visuals, free and has a story. What a treat it is to take in this monument with a moat (and some resident ducks). A stunning visual relic left after damage from the civil war (the castle took the King's side and was dealt with accordingly!). Be aware that right now u cannot cross the bridge over the moat pending a funding effort - u can however take a lovely stroll around the moat. Recommend a stroll around Nunney after and a drink in the 17th century George Inn.

A beautiful castle ruin complete with moat situated in a lovely village. Whilst you are currently unable into the castle itself it makes for a lovely wander around the moat. The castle is free and parking is free. If you are in the area it’s worth seeing. With a lovely pub and cafe in the village.

Small but perfectly formed ! . All be it not available to cross the moat into the castle it self ( Bridge no longer accessible due to structural issues Age mainly) . They are working on replacing the Bridge but will be awhile. Nice Cafe on road to Castle entrance gate and other side of Stream Bridge just to the right of the Church a little way a Public house with some outside seating with a view of the castle through the gardens !.
