Burnt House Cottage comes ready for a proper stay. You'll find a fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine; two living rooms (one with Freeview TV, one with a woodburner); and a dining room with an extending table. Bed linen is provided, along with logs for the stove and Wi-Fi throughout. The cottage has four bedrooms spread across two floors—three doubles and one single—with three bathrooms plus a separate toilet, which means no fighting over facilities. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
The layout suits two families or multiple generations well. Grandparents can settle downstairs by the fire while children play upstairs without disturbing anyone. The ground floor living room, part 15th-century, has beams, a brick floor and an inglenook fireplace. The second living room looks over the garden. Bedrooms one and two each have ensuite bathrooms; bedroom three sleeps two; and bedroom four has a single bed. There's ample private parking on site and a pub within walking distance.
This thatched property sits on a quiet country lane in rolling countryside, with good road access to Bury St Edmunds, Diss and Stowmarket all within half an hour's drive. The rooms are modest in size but the cottage has genuine character—stone and wood, working fireplaces, period windows—without fussy decoration. Bring your own towels. No smoking.
