Duck Island Cottage

Ringwood sits on the edge of the New Forest National Park, and Duck Island Cottage places you between the market town and the forest itself. The cottage is a compact two-bedroom property with one bathroom, sleeping four. It has everything needed for a self-catering break: a kitchen with electric cooking, a combined living and dining space, and Wi-Fi throughout. Bed linen and towels are provided, and heating and electricity are included in your stay. One dog can stay free of charge.

Upstairs are a king bedroom and a second room with two single beds, both with smart TVs. The walk-in shower is spacious. Downstairs, the open-plan layout makes it easy to cook and eat together, and there's a back garden with seating, a BBQ, and space to store two bikes. You have private parking for one car, with additional space on the road. Smoking is not permitted inside.

The New Forest is immediate – for walking, cycling or simply being among trees and ponies. The Dorset coast is within reach if you want a beach day, and Corfe Castle with its steam railway makes an easy excursion. The Forest Forge Theatre Company is nearby for evening entertainment. Note that the property has steep spiral stairs.
