What visitors say
A spectacular garden centre. It has a little miniature railway that's open at certain times of the year. Plenty of parking. Toilets available. Pet section. Live Fish section. The restaurant is one of the best garden centre restaurants ive ever been to. It's EXTREMELY popular so get there early, or don't bother at all. Worth a visit.

This is a fantastic garden centre to visit mostly because it has an excellent restaurant right at its heart. Beware the plants and equipment on sale although extremely high-quality goods are moderately too severely overpriced. Free parking nearby miniature railway to entertain young children and also there is a fish sales centre for tropical and temperate fish. All staff are friendly and extremely helpful

A large, clean and well-stocked garden center with a super comfortable restaurant and a fantastic miniature railway for kids and grown-ups alike. We wanted somewhere to eat and stretch our legs after arriving at Manchester Airport and couldn't have done better than find Brookside! The staff were super friendly and the the food was fresh and tasty, with plenty of healthy options. On the way out we took a ride on the garden railway which is well worth a visit in itself! A special mention too for the model shop which has an unbelievable collection of trains, cars and many other model kits - whatever you need they will undoubtedly have!

Lovely garden centre with nice coffee shop. Cakes are very tasty and breakfast brioche rolls are delicious. Coffee and cakes reasonably priced. Variety of products in garden centre, all nicely laid out with plenty of space to move around. Large outdoor area for plants too. Miniature railway for children here also (note not open all the time). Nice place to visit or stop at if passing through.
