Amazing museum. I really liked how it takes you through Newcastle’s full history, with a strong focus on engineering, especially shipbuilding and innovations by Armstrong and others. Entry is free and I would highly recommend visiting if you enjoy history or you’re an engineering student; there’s plenty on ships, engines, and general science. There are lots of interactive exhibits too, including audio pieces that let you hear perspectives from different eras.

Great FREE museum. They have two different play areas for kids under 5 year olds. They also have a little kitchen and book area in the cafe to entertain your kids while you enjoy a coffee. A lot to see, we didn't get to most so we will be back in the future. Not very busy on a Tuesday.
